Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

I couldn't agree with you more.... We'll be on a restrictive diet when we're down in November....will probably have to eat more fruit than other desserts...gotta have a chocolate covered strawberry though! :thumbsup2

I agree with both of you as well. Regardless of anything, this is the most value for my money I can find at WDW. I get a beautiful view of the fireworks, I have been lucky enough to see Tink everytime right over top of us. Dh doesn't like crowds and doesn't really like long waits either. He doesn't mind 30 minutes or less but anything more isn't happening. If I mention lining up for fireworks an hour a head of time he would look at me like I was crazy.

I do enjoy the desserts for sure. But I really love the atmosphere and the view. Last year my dh and the grandsons went to the rail to watch the show. I sat at the table with a cup of coffee and could see most of the fireworks. I was just happy to be there. Not to mention afterwards we sat and rested for a few minutes while the crowds on Main Street dissipated

The desserts are just an added benefit.

I agree about having a reserved place to sit is worth the price. My boyfriend uses a power wheelchair and sometimes we don't feel safe in the crowds for the fireworks. This is a stress free way for us to get to see our favorite fireworks.

Omg I love the reserved seating for wishes. The desserts are a added plus. We have this booked for sept and I'm anxiously waiting for nov to open

Can someone remind me how far out these usually open? I think I'm going in February.

Waiting for November to open - but if I go to dining reservations on the Disney website, they have all the dates blue except for the 1st, 21st and 22nd. Do you think that that is a good sign that all the dates that are blue will be available for the party?

December has dates greyed out also.

From what I have heard they basically do have this every night in November. November 1st is greyed out because that's the last night for MNSSHP and they do not do the party during that. Not sure why they wouldn't be doing the 21st and 22nd though. The 28th and 29th would make more sense because of Thanksgiving.

The 21st and 22nd are MVMCP nights, so they won't have regular Wishes. There are several other dates in November that MVMCP is scheduled, which impacts how many night regular fireworks are available, and therefore the dessert party. If you look on the calendar of events for November, you can see which evenings Wishes is scheduled.

But the dessert party is held during MVMCP, just not MNSSHP, which I think is unfair. I say that because I wanted to do the dessert party October 31st but can't.

When I try to make an reservation, it says No Tables Available. How do I know if there are no tables because it's full or if it's because the date has not been released yet?!?!?

The party only opens about 2 months in advance I assume based on your ticker that you are looking for Dec or Jan. These months have not opened yet and will not open until the end of Sept beginning of Oct (for Dec) and end of Oct beginning of Nov (for Jan) . If you go to the first page in this thread you can view the past opening days for each month.

I got my reservation for October 28th and reservations for my date opened around July 29th. I can't remember the exact date.

Just a reminder....

For those going to the party on a MVMCP night...this is a separately paid ticketed event, and will need a ticket to that party to get to the Dessert Party.

I've heard of a few instances where some were not aware of this, only to be disappointed they couldn't get in the park.

How does the assigned seating work? I just managed to pick up a reservation for 9:05 (lucky!) for 2 weeks from now. Obviously somebody cancelled. Do I pick up the spot of the group that dropped out or do I end up at the back of the line and everyone else moves up?

Congrats!! :) No guarantees that things work the same now, but... same thing happened to us on our last trip 2 years ago. I got an ADR just before arriving, and we were seated at the very back. On the plus side, we were closest to the desserts! :) And everyone moves to the rail anyway when the fireworks start so it's not that bad.
