Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

This is early but to make a reservation for a MVMCP night do I have to call or will it be highlighted on the calendar? And does anyone have a opinion on if it is better to go on a party night or a regular night? :confused3 Thanks!

Hi everyone!! I know I am way ahead to book for December, but the dates of December 30 and 31 are in gray does it means that the party isnt going to be held in those dates? Any tips that can help me score a ressie for the 31? Thanks and congrats to all the Octobers that were able to book their ressies! :cheer2: Wish me luck!!

I'm sure you'll get a variety of opinions on this....but I personally would NOT do the Dessert Party on a MVMCP night. My reason is that if I paid about $60 for the party I'm going to want to spend my time doing the "only at the party things" like the special shows, the character meet and greets...and enjoy some of the walk on rides. If you arrive at the start of the Dessert Party and stay until the last of the fireworks, you're looking at 90 minutes or more.....time better spent getting the most for your MVMCP $60 ticket. The MVMCP parties that I have attended were relatively low crowds so unless you needed to be right in front of the castle, you could arrive on Main Street, or on the outer edges of the hub about 15 minutes before fireworks and find a decent view. So that's a lot more time spent doing the party stuff you paid for, rather than sitting and eating dessert.

Same reasoning that I use to do a quick CS lunch right around 4 or 5 pm and not a long length TS dinner on party night.

We're going the party one night...and hopefully can get reservations for another night for the dessert party. Max out the useful time on each expense!

See, I had the opposite experience. Our MVMCP was so crowded, we ended up watching the fireworks from behind the castle and could barely see...it was just a mob scene everywhere! This was early Nov and the party was sold out. So, we are planning to try to book the dessert party during the Christmas party this year, in hopes that we can relax more and actually see Holiday Wishes.

Check out page one there is info on past Dessert Parties for Dec 30/31 as there are special Fireworks and I believe 2 Parties to choose from at least in 2011.

Not sure but looks like no party in 2012 on those dates.

So my resort (POR) was excluded from Fall RO discounts :( so I wanted to come back to this thread and just say how excited I am that I DID get to score the dessert party (our first time to do it). Kinda bummed that we are paying rack rate for EVERYTHING this trip but I'm still super excited. :)

Free dinning came out why not change resorts to get it

My aunt and uncle are booked for the dessert party on the 12th (I think) of September. I was with her when she called and the CM told her that the dessert party is not held on the same nights as MNSSHP or MVMCP. I am not sure how accurate this information is but just a heads up that this might be the case. :)

There were nights that the dessert party was held on the same night as MVMCP last year.

I really hope they offer it this year, as I am going with my two nephews and I want them to be as comfortable possible to watch the fireworks in that crowdy night. Thanks!!

It looks like my date of 10/19 is already all booked up. I am glad that I got in when I did.

I never understand how it gets booked up so fast as you'd think it was largely only people on forums such as these who'd be aware it was time to book...

I would start checking the last 2 or 3 days of the month because September opened last few days of June and October opened last few days of July. The dates do not seem to open in the morning though. Seem to open in afternoon sometime. Plus keep an eye on this page because someone will post it here. That's how I found out about October. Good luck.

Will someone post before it comes out???

Or once it comes out??

With all of our dining reservations, it looks like I can only go one day - Nov 6th so I hope I can get it in.

My Twin 9 yr old Daughters LOVE chocolate and we have never done this.

But then again, I did not think I would ever get BOG and we ended up getting 2 res for the week we are there.

Honestly believe in the Power of PIXIE DUST!!!!

Thanks all!!

You will find out when it opens when someone posts on this thread. When someone realizes it's open then they will post here so other people can make their reservations. If you pay close attention to this thread toward the end of the month you should see when it opens and be able to make your reservation.

But keep in mind they only allow like 150 or 160 people for the party so doesn't take long to fill it up.
