I have never known Disney to start booking reservation for the dessert party at 180 ever. Has this changed? Are they now releasing the dates at 180? Because usually they do not open to booking until about 60 days out.

I have never known Disney to start booking reservation for the dessert party at 180 ever. Has this changed? Are they now releasing the dates at 180? Because usually they do not open to booking until about 60 days out.

That changed a while back -- they book at 180 days with everything else now. They assign a 6pm ADR time as a placeholder, with the party beginning 1hr before Wishes -- you have to check on fireworks time closer to your visit to confirm.

Yep, its changed to 180 days out. I didn't believe it myself, and was so confused 3 months ago when I was getting ready to book all of our ADR's. We went to the FDP back in May of 2013 and it drove me nuts back then trying to figure it out. I was initially upset it changed, but this was actually easier this time being able to select the date for the FDP right away and managing my other ADR's.

I just want to double check - is the cancellation policy for the dessert party really five days before the party?

I keep trying to snag a cancellation to book the party for our trip in September and I just want to know the drop dead date for people to cancel so I know when it is pointless to keep checking

I had this question as well yesterday, and its seems like this is the answer I keep finding. I check every day a few times a day, and I will be checking before and during our trip with HOPES of getting a slot for this. It is the only thing I am missing for our tripas far as I am concerned so I will keep wishing for me and for you !

Wondering the same. The days I've been searching used to list a time but now it just says no times available.

I was too, but when I went to my reservation in MDE, it says Prepaid with an information symbol next to it. When I clicked on the info symbol, it said:

For prepaid dining reservations, Guests who cancel within 24 hours of their reservation time or fail to show will be subject to a full price charge.

Welcome!!!

All I can say is that I booked it at 180 days out for our next trip. And last trip. Before that, it was randomly released for booking... Average was probably around 60 days out.
