Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

THE GOOD:
After about three years worth of Disney World (4) trips of trying get reservations for the dessert party I was finally able to get a reservation for 2 on October 12th.

THE BAD:
We had to move our vacation back a week. We'll now be there from the 19th-26th.

I need to cancel these reservations. So if anyone is interested maybe we can coordinate a time so that when I cancel someone can get them. I wish there was a way to trade with someone that that is in a similar situation.

One of these days we'll be able check this party out.

Wishes starts at 10:00 PM on Sept 11th. My ADR for the dessert party is at 9:00 PM. Are there earlier reservations than mine who will be getting better seating? Or is my time one of the earlier ones?

I've fried scrolling through the thread, but I can't figure out when the earliest time slots are for a 10:00 show. Thanks for your help!

its only one time. Everybody gets 9:00. The earlier you call to get the reservation, depends on the seating. If you call 180 days out, you have a better chance of getting a table closer to the front. People usually don't sit for the fireworks. They get up and go to the railing. So the people who do have front row seats have to get up anyway because their view gets blocked.

I just wanted to mention that we've had front row seats a couple of times, and our view wasn't blocked by people standing at the railing. So you may not have to get up if you're sitting up front!

Just want to remind friends that if you can't seem to get a reservation online, definitely try calling 1-407-WDW-dine. I tried yesterday & this morning online for January with no luck, but was able to book a reservation on the phone. Now, just need a BOG reservation and we are set. (Still annoys me that I have to plan this far in advance! Lol)

I have a quick question, I have a reservation for 2 for Jan, My munchkin will be 2 & 1/2 then, I didn't make the reservation for 3, I only made it for 2 people, do you think I need to call them and sort it out for a 3rd?

Call now. Call immediately! Hopefully they will be able to accommodate your party size still. Usually they are very strict since they have such a limited seating, parties of 2 are set at a 2 top. If you don't update it you run the risk if them not accepting a party of 3 when you show up.

I called! I was a little worried when no one responded earlier so the neurotic in me had to call and find out. So, thankfully, since it was in Jan and it was only the munchkin in a high chair they were able to change it for me. Whew... I won't make that mistake again.

Party actually begins 1 hour prior to beginning of fireworks so your party will begin at 9 pm. All tables are reserved with name cards so you will have your same table regardless of your time of arrival. People will begin lining up for party a half hour before party begins but no one will be allowed to enter party until 9 pm. You will receive a wristband and escorted to a table. A line quickly forms for desserts but it will move quickly and there are plenty of desserts.

Also weather permitting at beginning of fireworks Tinkerbell flies from top of castle right toward you. Be sure to watch for her to come from the far right side of the party area.
