If so, I'm not sure it's working. Out of curiosity, I played around and checked most days in August. There's still quite a few openings. I'm thinking all of us September seekers will get reservations. :)

We've done this party every year since its inception -- sometimes twice in a trip. :rolleyes1 I just periodically check this thread and pounce when I see it opened. :thumbsup2 If you're on here checking periodically, I'd be shocked if you don't get a ressie.

When it does open, what are all of us stalkers going to do with our free time? Lol

You'll still be here! I booked for August the day they opened, don't have any trips planned back later in the year or anything, but for some reason I still can't tear myself away from this thread....it's really not normal, lol :)

Wow here i am trusting a CM who told me 60 days out? So whats the real story?
I have to lurk about this too?? I am looking for the week of Nov11-18. When should i get serious about looking ( serious not obsessive....much)

My best advice to to keep an eye on this thread starting late August just in case but best guestamate as to a release date first week in September. November opened up on Tues 9/6 in 2011 and Sun 9/2 in 2012.

I am waiting for November also :thumbsup2

Ok , subscribed!

Wow your not obsessing much!!! Thanks for the great info!

Is it really that hard to get a ressie? I have almost always gotten a ressie i wanted to difficult restaurants pretty easy as long as it was within a day or so of opening.

Only one i couldn't get this trip was BOG , but I got to eat there before official opening last year in the sneak peek, just got lucky

I started this thread so I monitor it regularly. The thing that makes it hard to get a reservation is if your looking for a popular date such as July 3 or 4, the size of your party, 2 tops are hard to come by and the fact of CM giving out incorrect information practically that a date is sold out when it has not even opened up for booking or some have been told a date is sold out or not open yet when it is actively booking.

The sooner after it opening up for booking that you make your ADR the closer to the front your table will be located.

I'm going the same time as you are and need to get a ress for 11/10. Just so you know that week the dessert party will run on the 11/10, 11/12, 11/13 and 11/17. All the other days are when the mvmcp will be running.

I haven't checked the calendar yet but the Dessert Party has run on MVMCP nights, in fact I went on a MVMCP night last year. I believe they just do not have it during MNSSHP

Update....Sept & Oct & Nov1 are blocked out for MNSSHP nights , and the rest of November dates are showing except for 11/21 and 11/22 not sure why?

Of course if you attend during a party night tickets to the party are required plus the cost of the Dessert Party

Thanks for you insight. I'm anxiously waiting the November dates being released - still a while for me to go!

I am always wary of what CMs tell you when you call as they are so often singing from different hymn sheets. Even more often they will insist something is true when in fact we know differently. I feel for them as their training so often doesn't add up to the knowledge us avid planners hold.

My vacation package included preferred viewing for Illuminations and Wishes, I booked Illuminations easily but Wishes was apparently sold out at 180 days! I found this hard to believe when the preferred viewing is a perk that it not that well known. I've tried to book since with no luck, I asked if it was possible that the dates hadn't been released yet and that's why there was no availability but the CM insisted they had, then went on to say there was no availability for Wishes for our entire 15 night stay. I'm still unconvinced!

Would this be the preferred viewing area for AAA? I know I have read that those spots fill up quickly but that area is not the same as the Dessert Party, that area is located near the Hub I believe although not sure as it been a while since I saw it marked on a map.

Oh, don't worry I know they're two different viewing areas, I just mentioned my booking drama as an example of CMs not necessarily being as 'in the know' as we'd hope! Sorry to confuse you.

Preferred Viewing is included with vacation packages booked via the UK site which I'm sure will be in the same area as what's offered with AAA.

We were hoping to do the Dessert Party the first night of our stay and then the Preferred Viewing on the last night. But now that the viewing area is full up I'm even more desperate to get a DP booking!!

No worries I was just concerned if you would miss out on the preferred viewing area if the CM were confused about what you were trying to book.

I am sure you will get a spot for the DP, we usually find out it is open within 15 mins of the first person booking :)

Good Luck!

Well it just about the only "premium" event I have not yet visited. I always forget about it.

Last visit had great seats at R&C for Illumination, which is my personal fav fireworks. ( got that ressie again this trip)

The only major specialty seating event i have yet to do is the Illumination cruise.

Super excited to do this one, the entire trip is a surprise for the family after a very tragic year so far......
Fingers crossed
