Wishes Desert Party, anyone been?

We're looking at doing a few new thingsthis year, and it sounds like it could be fun. Has anyone done this? I know an ADR is easily attainable.

We got shut out of the Fantasmic dinner package this year (my fault, waited too long).

Would love to hear from anyone who'd been. Thanks

Our family went last month and absolutely LOVED it. The desserts were good and the view of the castle was beautiful, plus the kids enjoyed tinkerbells flight path was right over us. I will def do again if offered on our next vacation to the World. Hope you have a great vacation!

The dessert party is a great way to see the fireworks without having to fight the crowds. The desserts are very nice and tasty. It's worth the cost.

I went in October and thought that although the Dessert Party was enjoyable and I'm glad I did it, I wouldn't rush to do it again. I was disappointed that when I went back up about 10-15 minutes before the fireworks to refill, half the desserts were gone. And 10 minutes after the fireworks ended, although it was still an hour until the park closed, the party area looked like this-

I didn't exactly feel too welcome to sit any longer.

Loved the dessert party last year but it was sooooo cold. We aren't going to do it next week because I'm not sure how warm it will be.

We just did the dessert party on 12/5.... We felt it was worth , and we really are not dessert people!

FOr the view alone, it was worth it!
We would not do it again unless my parents come with us next december, as they have never been.

What I liked about the Wishes Dessert Party was that there was a good variety of desserts for all palettes. I love desserts but I don't like chocolate. When I was trying to decide between the Wishes Party and the F&W Festival Dessert Party in Epcot, I found that the F&W one, despite being bigger, didn't have much in the way of options for someone who doesn't do chocolate. At the Wishes party, I was able to find at least five or six desserts - Pistachio Creme Brulee, White Chocolate, fruit tarts, mango shooters, custard creations, canolis- which I enjoyed.

We loved the dessert party, I surprises the kids with it on our first night there, it was cold, but we filled up on hot tea and chocolate plus all the yummy desserts. the view for the fireworks was spectacular, it was worth it for that alone.

Yes, the Dessert Party is now available (very recently) on the online reservation system - it does require pre-payment, though. I believe it is listed under the Magic Kingdom section.

I recall that the price is $21.99 + tax per adult. Can't remember how much children were.

My family and I did this last month. Liked it very much. The view was very nice having a seat and not being surrounded by crowds. It was the best view of Tinkerbell we ever had. The desserts there was a large variety from chocolate to fruity. Even my husband a so not dessert person enjoyed it. I liked the small touches too. There was silver confetti castles on the table with our name tag. On some boards they say the sooner you reserve the closer you get to be to the front. We were right in the front and I reserved the day they came available. We also were able to take a photo pass picture. I will do this again. It was worth it to us.

We have just been on the 22nd December and it was good without being anything spectacular - just nice to try something different.

We had a table with our name on it and could have watched the fireworks from there but decided to move to the front and stand next to the rail. The desserts were nice - I guess around 20 to choose from - and the drinks were water, raspberry lemonade, lemonade, iced tea and milk I think. You just went up as many times as you wanted.

The view of Wishes was unobstructed for everyone, but Wishes is designed to be for viewing from Main Street so the perspective was slightly off. Main Street Electrical Parade (which started at 9.00pm with Wishes at 10.00pm) was visible but you didn't get the full effect of it. We found that watching the 11.00pm Main Street Electrical Parade from Main Street was the way to do it.

Probably wouldn't do it again, but it was my wife's birthday and our first Christmas trip so we're pushing the boat out a little and are glad we've tried it.
