I just found out last week from my planner that MK/ Epcot shoot won't be included in our minimum because it's going to be done on a different day. But When I booked it before I signed my contract...my wedding consultant said it's included. Does anyone have this issue? :headache:

Uh oh! I was told it would count, so I'm interested in hearing if anyone else is having this problem.

Although, I think I am going to have no prob meeting my mins! :rotfl:

thanks for posting!

I am sure Carrie will come along and confirm, but I believe it is only events that occur ON your wedding day that count. So, if you were to do the shoot in the morning before your ceremony, it would count...unless that has changed too.

We did ours the morning of our wedding and that way we only had to get dressed up once. One time for hair and make up....the whole deal. Then we got to play in the parks the rest of the time !

I was initially told it counted towards our minimum but I think we'll be over by $1000-$1500 anyway so I'm really not worried. But I still hope it counts.

We are doing an Epcot shoot the day after and it is counting towards our minimum.

We did our MK shoot four days after our wedding, and it definitely counted toward our minimum and was listed on our BEO. This was in July of 2009, so hopefully the policy hasn't changed!

We were also told unless we did it the same day, it wouldn't count. We opted not to do it.

hmmmmmm i want to say ours (which is the day after) appears on our first estimate (not the LOA or whatever - we havent gotten that yet). i could be wrong, but we a re a daytime, morning, weekday wedding if that makes a difference.

if anyone has a final answer for this please let me know :) so confusing when you are told different things.

It seems like it depends on the planner. It seems like a lot of things depend on the planner... how frustrating!! Our MK session definitely counted towards our minimum and it was officially listed on the last part of our BEO.

OMG! I hope it counts towards the minimum! In Carrie's Passporters book it deff. says it does. It says it's the only event that can count toward the minimum that will not be held on the wedding day. Disney really needs to have their policies be the same for EVERYONE regardless of which planner people have. It makes things so confusing! It's unrealistic to expect people to do this on their wedding day since it has to be at 5 or 6 in the am. What about people who are having 5 or 7 ceremonies. What am I gonna do get ready at 4am and then sit around until 5:00?

My photo shoots are scheduled on different days and they ARE counting towards my minimum.

Okay this is getting really irritating and confusing  I have emailed my planner again and ask her to clarify. It would be unfair if it counts for some brides and doesn't for others :headache:

It counts toward your minimum if you're using DPS for the wedding. If you're using an outside photographer for the wedding then it doesn't count.

This only came in a little while ago I think.

I had heard this mentioned before. That sucks but I guess with the contract wording they can do that if it's scheduled for a day that's not your wedding day.

As of today, that is what I was told by my planner. Booooo! :cool2:

I was just told the same thing by my planner. If you're using DPS than it's included, if you're not than it's not included.

I was told the same thing about my MK shoot not being the same day. When I pressed about it relentlessly, I was told if it came down to it, they would let it count. Basically, you're not supposed to count on it... but push comes to shove and you're way under... they'll let it count.

Though I can't speak from experience, because we were over our minimum with or without the shoot...

Ours is counting and we are only using DPS for the dessert party. Can you maybe add a small DPS package so it will count?
