I was just checking park hours and stuff for our trip Dec. 9 - 13 and I'm surprised to see that Wishes doesn't run every night...is this correct? Looks like its only on Sat. while we're there.

Also, does the Electric Water Parade still go by the Poly at around 9:00? Can you see it from O'hana's? If so, what's a good time to schedule dinner there to watch it from the restaurant?

Thanks!

It's probably correct. Wishes doesn't run on MVMCP nights - during your stay those will take place on the evenings of 12/9, 12/10 & 12/12. Wishes should go on Saturday and Monday, though. (Of course, that's not much help to you if yo are leaving on Monday. Sorry). On MVMCP nights, there is a special fireworks show between the first and second parades (which run during MVMCP). Believe it is usually around 9:15 pm.

EWP runs every night, weather permitting. You can find out the schedule on Steve Soares website:

WDW Live Entertainment

Select the link for the Magic Kingdom and then scroll down the page to the EWP info.

Can't help with the O'Hana portion of your question or the timing, but someone else surely will.

Best wishes -

As Carol says, EWP runs every night, weather permitting. The Poly is the first stop, most days promptly at 9pm. You would be able to see some of it from some tables in Ohana's, but you will miss the music, which IMO is half the fun. I would highly recommend having dinner first, then taking a stroll down to the beach to watch EWP. If it is a MVMCP night, you could also stick around to get a great view of the fireworks. There are speakers near the beach that play the fireworks music also. Just please do not block anybody's view from their room!

Hope this helps!

Thanks Carol & Mike...now I'll go make my PS.

Mike - great idea - I forgot about the fireworks for MVMCP. I thought all we'd get to see was the Elec. Water Parade. Thanks for the reminder!

if wishes only happens once during your trip, and you plan on catching it, take your patience along with you. it will surely be crowded as all get out. Folks tend to get very fussy about their parade/fireworks viewing spot when they only happen once or twice a week.

good luck

Just a clarification -- the fireworks show that takes place during MVMCP IS Wishes! In fact it is billed as a "special version of Wishes". We saw it last year at MVMCP and I don't know any reason why it would be different this year.
