Wishes 10/8/11 WP/GF-- Love's First Kiss-- Trip Report Complete

While our guests were eating and Brandon and I were mingling, the children made a very important discovery.

The chairs in the lounge were SPINNING chairs!

(apparently it takes about 5 minutes for a toddler to catch on to this)

Claire found it first

Then Coby joined in

But Carley was the best at spinning the chair!

They spun themselves silly

Look at that elated face!!

Loved your glowing tables, so modern!

I'm a little late to the party, but CONGRATULATIONS on your marriage!!! I'm going to start on page 20 and go from there.

This is such a beautiful dress! My name is Michelle too and I also grew up going to Disney. I feel like we are kindred spirits!

We could be kindred spirits! I immediately connect with someone who understands just how amazing WDW is! Welcome to the boards! :)

I'm a little late to the party, but CONGRATULATIONS on your marriage!!! I'm going to start on page 20 and go from there.

Thank you very much! Thanks for reading-- it starts with a lot of text but I promise there are many many pictures too!

This is not wedding related, so feel free to skip if you like.

I just wanted to share some very exciting news for our family: Today Brandon was offered an attorney position with a firm in Tampa!

We have been living with some of my family in northwest Florida for about six months. We moved here last summer so Brandon could study for and take the Florida bar exam. I have since been working any and all jobs I could find to pay our student loans, insurance, car payments, etc. After the bar exam, Brandon accepted work at a local legal aide center, but they were not able to pay him. He has spent every day searching and applying for jobs. We both often became discouraged; I'm sure no one here is a stranger to how the down economy has affected families. His determination has finally paid off.

Next week we are going on a house hunting trip. We believe we will be moving to Tampa by the end of this month. I am so elated; I almost can't believe it. We are going to have our own house again, with our own things. We have so many nice presents from the wedding that we haven't even seen-- they're just boxed away in storage. And now we're going to come home every day to a place that's all ours with our things and our own space. It almost feels like coming home from the honeymoon again.

I'm so proud of Brandon. I've always had confidence in him, even when he didn't have it himself. I'm proud to have supported our family for the present while he worked on our future.

It's so exciting. I'm happy. I know Brandon is happy. I'm ready to have a house, and a home. Maybe the best part of all... We'll only be 1.5 hours from Disney World!!!! :earsboy:

Thanks for listening, friends.

Thank you both, ladies! Tabz, I hope (or bet ) that with our new location, I will be in and out of WDW all the time! Hey, I'm an AP. It can't be that expensive, right?? As long as I don't eat or shop... :rotfl:

Honeymoon, Day 2

We awoke on Day 2 to beautiful, sunny skies. Since we had mostly stayed in the hotel on the previous day, I was feeling very energetic and ready to do lots of things!

We had a quick club level breakfast, then set off for Magic Kingdom (I swear, I could go there every day). We first headed for Thunder Mountain, but it was down. We checked over at Splash Mountain, but it was down too! We back tracked to Pirates, but it was also down!! I had never experienced something like this in a park. I almost wonder if some sort of power grid that controlled that section of the park was on the fritz.

We decided to check out Tiki Room (we hadn’t seen it since the fire) and wait for some of the others to reopen. We actually had a great time; a couple in front of us truly let out their inner child and danced most of the time! It was so cute. I hope we are that fun in the future.

After a quick lunch at Pecos Bill, Pirates was up. We had on our “Just Married” pins (that I bought on ebay), and as we were loading the boat, a CM shouted “My condolences to ya both!” It was probably the best response we got from those buttons!

We took a quick tour through Fantasyland, where I got some pictures with my love

I told Brandon I needed these pictures, since it’s closing soon. I will be so sad when it’s gone.

After Fantasyland, we headed back to Frontierland. We rode Splash Mountain and got absolutely soaked! After Splash, we decided we wanted to head over to Food & Wine Festival.

We caught the train in Frontierland.

I was drenched!

Brandon had fun taking pictures, as he does

Right now, the train goes by the construction of FLE. It's kind of neat to see. Brandon waved to all the construction workers. He got one to wave back, and was really excited by that!

We got off at Main Street and set out for the monorail, to hop to Epcot.

We were a little bit obsessed with the WP on this trip (well, mostly just me, but my dear Brandon indulged me so )

This made me laugh because it is SO something my DF would do! He's such a friendly guy and is so proud if somebody waves back to him or if we get served by somebody unfriendly at the supermarket and he manages to get chatting with them and make them smile

Michelle sweetie
Just checking in!!!
Great news about the house!!! I wish I could live so close to my happy place!!! I would move to Florida in a heartbeat given half a chance!!!!

Just wanted to say congrats to you both!! I know after Adam and I took the Bar it was really hard to find a job--any job. There are just so many people coming out of law school these days and into a bad economy.

Your honeymoon looks like so much fun! I love when you have enough time to really savor and enjoy being at the World, rather than running around like crazy.
