All WISHers turning 40 in 2009! Celebrate with style! Sign up for a Disney event, tell your WISHer friends, dance with the happy banana. (It freaks me out a little, but okay...).

I've updated the b-day list, keeping the just turned 40yos on the list (toward the bottom) so we can continue to celebrate all year long--or longer. After all, Disney's Year of a Million Dreams has lasted far longer than 365 years. Precedent, yes?

I love this! A year of a bunch of WISHERS turning 40. We do deserve a 365 day celebration so thanks for keeping the ones who have already hit the big 40 on the list. I know I appreciate it.

I have to say I don't think it has really bothered me as much as I thought it would. But when i tell someone my age and respond with 40, I feel like its not even me saying it. I feel like I should be saying 29!

I was in WDW for my 40th!! Got a nice card from Mickey, Some Mickey Flowers and Mickey Cookies. I got a cake at WCC and a free cupcake at the Pizzafari in AK!!

I decided on the Fun Card as my Disneyworld gift. You can choose a free ticket to one park for the day (I have a FL res. Pass), A Fast pass good for everyone in your party for one park, or the Fun Card which is a gift card worth the amount of a one day one park ticket!

My DH is planning me a "surprise" 40th trip to Disney this upcoming October/November. it's difficult for him to do the planning since i'm the obsessive one with Disney. But with the help of my dd(13) and ds(10) I'm sure it'll be perfect!

Then my wonderful sister suprised me with my early birthday present...registering us for the Disney marathon. We had always talked about how cool it would be to do, but never in my wildest imagination would I have ever thought of actually doing it. Hopefully it'll be successful and I'll be able to keep my feet from the sweep!

How am I just coming across this thread?

Anyways, my big 4-0 is this August 4th. I keep telling myself its just a number, right?! One thing I do know for sure, I am much better off physically, financially and emotionally turning 40 than I was turning 30.

So, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all my fellow Wishers who have and who will turn 40 this year!!!

Ok, I'm with Debra and missed (AuntieM03) Michelle's and lilmermaid's Birthday's too. Hope it was great!!

Mine was!! I celebrated with a 5K that had homemade cookies at the finish line. Nothing gets me running better than yummies at the end!

Now, I did the 5K in Disney for my 40th, and now I am doing the Country Music Half Marathon for my 41st!!! I will run Saturday. It is my first Half Marathon, and I plan on meeting quite a few WISHERS while I am there. Wish me luck!!! Wonder what 42 will hold????

Glad to see you're feeling great about where you are. Age IS just a number and, in my case, is no guarantee of maturity. I've added you name to the calendar and strongly suggest you follow Disney's "Year of a Million Dreams" and celebrate as looooooonnnnnng as possible!
