Whew. I keep checking the weather report hoping it will change, but it seems the numbers keep going up instead of down! I've actually never been to Disney when it was this hot before. We always go in the winter or spring...

Tomorrow, I'll be on a plane at this time. Hope to be hitting one of the parks by tomorrow afternoon!!!

THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY THIS AFTERNOON. A EAST COAST SEA BREEZE IS
EXPECTED TO FORM SOUTH OF CAPE...BUT NOT MOVE INLAND VERY FAR.
THIS...COUPLED WITH SOUTHWESTERLY STEERING FLOW WILL BRING THE
GREATEST CHANCE FOR STORMS ALONG THE TREASURE COAST AND AROUND
LAKE OKEECHOBEE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

THE MAIN HAZARD WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS IS LIGHTNING. MOVE INDOORS
IF STORMS APPROACH YOUR AREA FROM THE WEST. DRIER AIR FILTERING
INTO THE MID LEVELS WILL MEAN THAT FEW STRONGER STORMS THIS
AFTERNOON MAY PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS.

...EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
LIMITED INLAND PENETRATION OF THE EAST COAST SEA BREEZE COUPLED
WITH A STRONG MID LEVEL RIDGE OVER THE REGION WILL BRING RECORD
HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON. AFTERNOON HIGHS IN THE MID 90S
ARE EXPECTED FOR INTERIOR LOCATIONS...WITH LOW 90S EXPECTED FOR
IMMEDIATE COASTAL LOCATIONS.

THESE RECORD HIGHS COUPLED WITH HIGH DEW POINTS WILL BRING AFTERNOON
HEAT INDICIES ABOVE 100 DEGREES FOR SEVERAL HOURS THIS
AFTERNOON...WITH SOME LOCATIONS POSSIBLY SEEING VALUES AS HIGH AS
104-105. THESE VALUES ARE COMPARABLE TO CONDITIONS IN JULY AND
AUGUST ACROSS EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA. REMEMBER TO DRINK PLENTY OF
NON- ALCOHOLIC FLUIDS...AND TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS OUT OF THE SUN
INSIDE AN AIR CONDITIONED BUILDING IF POSSIBLE.

...MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
ISOLATED STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO FORM DURING THE AFTERNOON AS THE
SEA BREEZE DEVELOPS...WITH AN INCREASE IN COVERAGE OCCURRING
THROUGH EARLY EVENING. STORM MOTION SHOULD BE TO THE EAST AT 10 TO
15 MPH. A FEW STORMS COULD PRODUCE FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND GUSTY
WINDS TO 35 KNOTS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
WARMER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE END OF THE

EACH DAY. A SMALL CHANCE FOR LIGHTNING STORMS CAN BE EXPECTED EACH

UGH! So NOT happy about the heat for race day! Still, I'll be in my happy place with my sweetie and my WISH friends, so I can tolerate a bit of discomfort (either on the course if my doctor says tomorrow that I can do the race, or on the course scream teaming for my awesome teammates!) Either way, I'll see you all there!

Going to be a drastic shift in temps for me, too. Will be about 40 when I leave on Friday. However Chicago is expecting low of 30 and high of 47 on Sunday so I'll deal with the heat.

Packed all tech gear so I'm ready!
And sunscreen... did not forget it.

Yesterday it was 103 & 105 today (with heat index).
If your not use to running with a water bottle I woud consider it if this heat wave stays to the weekend.

Yikes. That's HOT. I heard yesterday that we might get snow here on Saturday. I am so glad this is a morning race.

It was hot for the 4 days I was there for the EEC, so it sounds as if the weather hasn't changed at all. Hopefully, no monsoon for this race!

Sunday's forecast @ race time: 74F (not too bad) + 99% RH

The fall weather is SKEERED of Florida! Hydrate a LOT prior & (my trick) carry a DRY cloth for wiping the face down.

Gosh isn't Florida FUN???!!?!?!?!
