Saying lots of prayers for all of you down there. I'm also thanking God that my dad and step mother didn't go to Pompano Beach to their condo, on the beach no less!!! They're staying nice and safe in Boston until Thanksgiving. Hang on you all....it's gonna be a bumpy few days!!!!

Are any DISers being evacuated? My friends in Cocoa Beach are under mandatory evac. while my friends up in Titusville are under voluntary evac. The ones in Cocoa Beach are boarded up, secured down, and have wrapped things in plastic but haven't decided if they are leaving or even where they'll go.

More thoughts and prayers headed out to my Floridian friends!! I ahve been glued to my t.v. and computer this week trying to keep updated on Hurricane Frances.

Please, please, please.......if you are asked to leave ~ be safe and leave! My BIL's parents are in Cocoa and they refuse to leave. I can't believe it. My dad even told my BIL last night to call them and tell them that he will pay for them to fly here (they don't have much), and they said "thanks for the offer, but the traffic is too bad and we will be okay ~ we are staying". Traffic or no traffic ~ nobody should be staying. They said "we will be okay, we are 20 miles from the coast". I said 20 miles ~ 20 miles ~ did they not remember Charley roaring through the state just 2 1/2 weeks ago, and damaging Orlando the way it did which was 4 hours from Charley's landfall???? Just crazy........ My BIL is a nervous wreck, but aside from driving down there, there is not much he can do.
