That is fabulous...I am trying to get a trip planned for us to go back THIS SPRING BREAK!!!! :) I hope, hope, hope we can make it happen!

Who is in online school? Is that sort of like homeschooling?

I have a couple things that I'm really starting to worry about. My mom has reservations at Port Orleans Riverside. We've never been to WDW. Is it a nice hotel? Will it be easy to get to and from? We still want her to be able to attend the morning & evening activities at GKTW with us.

Next is our trip was booked on Southwest Airlines. We've only flown with them once, with just Meagan(she was 7). I am so worried about getting all of us seated without assigned seating. We need to sit the kids strategically seeing as we'll be on the plane for 7 hrs.

My other concern is that we leave here at 12:40 in the afternoon and don't land until 10:30 at night(we'll loose 3 hrs). Southwest doesn't serve meals. My kids are used to having lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 6pm. I know I can take some snacks, but the kids are going to need more than just snacks if we want a peaceful flight.

I am hoping the kids will sleep some on the flight. Ryan & Madilynn usually go to bed at 7:30. That's right at our landing time. I'm sure it's going to be interesting - to say the least

Hi,

I'm pretty sure 24 hrs before you leave I would try to do it exactly southwest airlies offers early checkin online. Southwest breaks seating up into a, b and c. If you get a on your boarding pass you will be the first group to board.
You do have to line up when you get to the airport but hopefully you will get
early boarding.

When we got our seats opriganlly we weren't all together and I have a 3 and 6 year old, Luckily I was able to get seats changed a little so now we have 2 and 2.

Jason is online schooling
he does everything online at home
he has a teacher and online classes
it is the best move I have ever done for him we are all so much happier
plus he can do it at his doctor appointments so he doesn't get behind

Make sure to tell southwest attendant at the boarding gate that you are on a wish trip and they will give you a blue pass that is for preboarding with the handicap section. They didnt question us at all about his disability and we didnt have a wheel chair. Also, we had a long flight from California. We landed around 9pm and it was hard. We were able to get something to eat when we took the 2nd flight. Give kids the world also had sandwiches, and drinks and milk all ready for us when we arrived for a late night dinner. I thought the kids were going to take it hard because of their routine but you will be surprised on how easy things go.

Also, at our airport there was a lot of food places to get sandwiches or even mcdonalds to bring on so if you can find a bag that keeps the food cold or warm then bring it and put the food in there.

I forgot to show off a little. Victor is on our chapters make a wish page. They are having a gingerbread cookie fundraiser so he has his picture on there and is decorating a cookie. Go down to weekend for wishes and you will see his picture http://www.makewish.org/site/pp.asp?c=bdJLITMAE&b=1044947

Also, if you have a boston market around you....They are selling coupon books for $1.00 and is worth $35.00 to help support give kids the world! They will actually have their food at give kids the world in 2009. It is a cute sign for us because my dh and I ate there for our first date and on our anniversary we ate there and found out about it a week ago.

Lydia got sick with a stomach bug last night... Ugh!! That was not fun! Luckily she stopped throwing up after only 4 or 5 times and fell asleep at around 1:30 or 2:00. Now I'm just worried that the rest of us get it.

I guess in a way it's kind of nice that she has it now and not in three weeks. Good to get it over with, hopefully.

What a cute picture!! He made a really nice cookie too! :thumbsup2

Awwwww! I really hope Boston Market takes over right at the beg. of 2009! I think it is perkins now and while they are okay.. I like Boston Market better. Nick has never been to either so I am sure he wouldn't care. :)

Wow...that is very interesting! I have heard of homeschooling and have several friends that do that...but have never heard of online school for kids. Good idea! Especially chronically ill kids!

I am sorry to hear about Lydia getting sick especially with the stomach flu. We had it really bad and it hits you quick. I heard a lot of people in our school and around us who all got it. I do have to say that I will be hoping for the best for the rest of your family. My dh and my mother didnt get the flu even though they were near us during the whole sickness so there is always hope. I was glad that it was a 24 hour deal for us and around a day or two to recover.

party: WE GOT SOME PIXIE DUST!!! :cool1: :worship: :cloud9: :cool1: :worship: :cloud9:

A wonderful Disboutiquer (gcast1) sent a wonderful package to my kids. Inside she had wrapped a present for each of them so it was like a mini holiday.
She made a Toy Story crayon roll up thing with Crayola Twistable Crayons in it and some Star Wars coloring books and sticker books. Ali got the same thing only in Princess fabric and with the chunkier regular crayons, plus Mickey Mouse Clubhouse coloring book and sticker books!
It brightened our whole day! I was sick with the flu, but when I brought that package in and Wil and Ali were jumping up and down while I opened it, it brought the magic right into our living room!
Wil was so cute, because when he saw the package, he asked if it was just something for Ali and when we opened it and saw the two packages, he got SO excited.

By the way...ONLY ONE MORE MONTH TO GO!!!!party: party:

I've been a mad woman working on getting everything done before the big trip. Yesterday I ordered my Christmas cards since those need to go out before we leave too. Here is a sneak peek just for you, my DIS friends... Much love and good tidings to ya'll!

Well, I don't have any 16 yo girls, but we had a family join us on our Disney Cruise last year and they had a 17 yo girl, so I'm thinking about what she might have liked. What about a swim suit cover up, beach towel with her name, those cute custom made flip flops, beach bag? Also, we took pillow cases to guest services along with some colored sharpies and all the characters signed them. I saw some had sent pillow cases with their name and Disney Cruise embroidered on it. They were very cute and I thought I might try to find something like that before our next cruise to have signed. Also I read that fabric markers are better to send to have things signed.
