Updated! Please let me know if there are any corrections.

Kids out of storytime so gotta run.

Welcome to all our new posting and stalking members!!

*hugs* to you all. I so miss talking with you guys.

Thanks Wendy. The updates are GREAT. The list of those TRs is growing. That's exciting. The more the merrier, I say. It is wonderful to hear from you. We owe all of this to you!

Lauren,

Welcome :cool1: I am new to this site also. Everyone is so helpful. All of my questions have been answered and the people here are a goldmine of information. I have found myself addicted to this thread. I am still learning too. I am still not sure about all the abbreviations yet. Everyone has struggled with family members health concerns and support each other all the time. I have never seen anything like it before. Total strangers praying and cheering each other on. How wonderful  I have laughed and cried while reading these treads.

Robin

PS what does MNSSHP mean?

Robin,

You are funny. MHSSHP is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party that is held during autumn nights at MK. I believe it requires a separate ticket. I don't know if it makes a difference that you will be at a Disney Resort for party like that one and Christmas.

Lauren :welcome: I'm echoing what everyone has already said this is a great thread and you'll learn a lot and they will pray for you and cheer for you and your family. I'm happy to hear that robert is in remission :cool1: :cool1:

Welcom Lauren:cheer2:
We are always excited hear that someone else gets to go to WDW for a wish trip.

Robin,
We are going to the MNSSHP (Halloween party) during Karlyn's trip. It does require a separate ticket but it will allow us to save one of our disney days because it includes entry into the park after around 4 p.m. I think the cost was between $45-50 per person and I ordered ours online. They have lots of info about it and the Christmas one as well on the Disney website.

Thanks Bill for helping Wendygrace and keeping us all up to date.

Denise

Denise,

Did I read somewhere that MNSSHP tickets might actually get you in the park earlier than 4, or is it that the event starts at 7 and getting in at 4 is early? :confused3

This is huge and exciting. LeeLee2U is back posting on her TR. She is one of the orginal Wish Trippers who started Wish Trippers Unite! last year. Here is the current page of her TR .

We got to meet her family at AK and DHS on our Wish Trip. Her family is very precious. For those of you staying at Disney Resorts, she will be a great resource, since that is what they did.

Bill

A great place to thank CMs for pixie dust on your trip would be to post on the Faith, Hope, Trust and Pixie Dust! pixiedust: thread, which tells postitive stories about visiting Disney with disabilities.

A lot of CMs frequent the boards. Especially post if you have specific names to thank, but any post would be helpful.

To all who very warmly welcomed me to the group, THANK YOU!
You are absolutley the nicest bunch of people I have ever met!

Thanks again for all of the love!!:cutie:

Hi there! My name is Amber. My son Sebastian, has been granted a Wish Trip to Disney World Decmber 6th-14th 2008. I would love to start a trip report thread and ask all of you veteran "Wish Trippers" our burning questions. Can anyone help me figure out how to do this? I'm such a DIS novice :) I have enjoyed reading all of your posts!

Bill

I think that it doesn't actually start until 7 but you can get in starting at 4. This was also the only way we could get ADR at the Liberty Tree Tavern because every other day we are there is booked solid so our Res is at 8 the night we go to MNSSHP. I was thinking that a giant LGMH would be a great costume I just don't know if any of the rest of my family would go with me if that was what I was wearing. :rotfl2:

Amber, welcome to our group. Isn't it amazing how many Wish trips there are out there? My suggestions for a pretrip report are quite simple because I have very limited experience at this. Make sure your title identifies your PTR as a Wish Trip. I usually write my report in Word then copy and paste it. Just go to the Pre trip page and click on start a new thread. Put in your title, then here is where I paste my word document and go from there. You posted here so you can post a PTR with no problem. Always ask questions, someone will have the right answer for you! I look forward to hearing about your plans.

(Look at me, I'm actually giving "technical" advice") :rotfl:

The event starts at 7 and 4 is the earliest you can get in MK with just your party ticket. If you attend one of those parties, my suggestion is to sleep in that morning, relax during the day and head to the park at 4. The party goes late, and if you can make it till closing, you will have gotten a lot in with fewer people in the park!! Does that make sense?????? :sad2: :goodvibes

:welcome: Amber!!!! So glad you found us! December will be an awesome time to go. I love  it at WDW during Christmas time!! Bill could probably explain better...but...to start a trip report...head to the trip report section of the boards and then the pre-trip section. At the top left you should see a button that says...new thread..click on that and you are good to go. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing. :sad2: Can't wait to read another tr! Feel free to ask away with your questions, we love to help!!

That makes perfect sense to me! Hopefully we will be able to sleep in a little that day. The girls are going to BBB in the early afternoon and then we will all get ready and go to the party.

Great Idea Denise,

Sleep In, Swim.. maybe do some low key shopping, then hit the park hard and long with small crowds. You have great ideas.

Lin and I have been doing a lot of thinking and discussing about the Seven Dwarves. Perhaps that is because I am only 5'5" and she is ... well quite a bit shorter than that.

You may recall that when I came into the SeaFire to get my, now cold, lunch at SW, after talking and talking and talking on the phone to try and straighten out problems with my pre-paid debit card (violin music should play in the background at this point), I said:

"I am not Happy!"

She said:

"Then which one are you?"

At this point I choked on my burger. She sure knows how to break the tension. I am hoping to get a shirt that says, "I am Grumpy because you're Dopey," that someone suggested on my DL pre-trip thread.

Well, we were trying to name all of the Dwarves from memory the other day, and it occurred to us why the other six really need Doc.

Grumpy: Needs an anti-depressant prescription

Sneezy: Needs an antihisimine prescription

Sleepy: Has chronic fatigue syndrome

Dopey: Needs to be referred to a rehab program

Bashful: Needs therapeutic counseling to overcome phobias

Happy: Hmmm.... could it be that he is too Happy and a bit manic?

This has really helped me to understand the whole Snow White story. Apparently, the cottage in the woods was actually an in-patient treatment center run by Doc.

This brings up a really crucial question:

Why are there no dwarf smiley icons on this board? Could this be a subtle form of discrimination against those of us who are vertically challenged? It gives one pause to think, does it not?

Murphy's Comprehensive and Annotated Compilation of Laws Relating to the Posting of Information on Wish Trip Threads and Private Messages

1) The more important the question you wish to post, the more likely that one of the following will happen:
a. Your computer will slow down to a crawl
b. Your internet provider will go down
c. Your kids will have a fight with the cat and dog while screaming rap lyrics in your ear.

2) The deeper the insight you have poured into your irreplaceable PM text in which you are imparting profound wisdom to other Wish Trippers, the greater the chance that the post will disappear into a black hole somewhere when you click submit. This will only be true if you fail to remember to copy the text to your clipboard before posting. :scared1:

3) If there is anything you type in a post that might possibly by some great stretch of the imagination be interpreted as inappropriate by your spouse, they will walk up at the very moment you are typing it.

4) At the most exciting, cliff-hanging moment in a Trip Report, the writer will disappear from the board for weeks or months on end. :confused3

5) You will get in trouble with a thread monitor for breaking a rule that you either did not know existed or accidentally broke while hitting the wrong button. :sad1:

To be continued......

Please feel free to add your observations.
