Wish (movie) early screenings

Saw that the movie Wish will be doing early screenings on land on November 18. Does that mean it will be viewable on the DCL ships that are at sea on November 18 as well?

How does Disney make those decisions?

Movies usually premiere on ships the same day they do in the US on land. I'm not sure if there's a way to verify this happens for Wish, but that's what usually happens.

In looking it up, I found that they've selected 750 specific theaters for this special viewing. I doubt that onboard the ships is one of them. But I could be wrong.

on our July cruise they showed Haunted Mansion at midnight the day it was released. They showed it in the Buena Vista theater was well as the two regular movie theaters. It happened to be our disembarkation day, but they still squeezed it in

As others have said, they usually premier on Disney ships at midnight the day of release - not early-access. So it'll likely (things do happen and ships sometimes don't get the movies in time - it happened with The Little Mermaid and the Dream earlier this year) show at midnight as the 21st becomes the 22nd.

So yes, between the early screening and most land-based theaters starting to show it the afternoon of the 22nd, you're not going to be the "first" to see it. But odds are that you'll get to. (The one I'd not 100% guarantee is the Wonder with it being on the other side of the world. It'll depend on if they've gotten it in time.)
