Here is a list of where Erica and I will be dining during the January events, we love company so please let us know if you are interested in any of the following:

January 7th, Late Lunch at the Coral Seas, Epcot.

January 8th, Dinner 6:30pm at the Si-Fi theater MGM

January 9th, Dinner 6:30pm Big River Brewery, with Robert, Linda, Dave and Erica. Boardwalk area no park passes required.

January 11th, this is the meet at the food court at the Pop.

January 13th, Right after the marathon, Robert, Linda, Erica and Dave at the United Kingdom, Rose and Crown for snack and a cold beer. Later that evening we are meeting up with anyone who wants to enjoy the party at Pleasure Island. Comedy club, Adventurer's Club, dancing, general mischief.

January 14th (Monday) Breakfast meet at the Bakery on the Boardwalk, possible lunch later at ESPN. We can discuss that at the bakery meet.

January 15th late lunch at the German Restraunt at Epcot, this is a good German Buffett with great food and beer.

January 16th Early dinner at the Canadian Steakhouse at Epcot. 4:10pm so far Nancy, Barry, Linda, Robert, Erica and Dave.

Any wanting to join us please let us know so Erica can increase the number on the reservations. The Pop meeting and the Bakery will be the official wish meets, not sure what time either of those start but we're planning to make them. We went to the Pop meet last year and Anne's wonderful welcome made us feel accepted, so new people don't be shy.

Thanks for reading.

I'll be at the pub - assuming he does what he's told, my other half Tim will be there early to see me come round the corner into Epcot saving as many seats as he can (mind you I"m a 5.30+ marathoner so I'm guessing Robert will already have had three pints and a cornish pasty by the time I even round the bend).

No Actually Robert is just hoping to break the 7 hr time limit since he has some knee and shin issues. Erica and I will be around the 6 to 6:30 time. So you can save us seats.

Thirsty Panda:hippie:

We are taking a bag with clothes so we can go right from the marathon to the Rose and crown. After a beer or two or three to dampen the soreness we will go back to the hotel, shower and prepare for the evening at Pleasure Island.

Relaxing Panda:hippie:

I won't have a bag of clothing. I will be proud to smell like I just finished the Goofy. If it is busy outside, it helps to open up a few tables:rotfl2:

Of course, but I was thinking more about being chilled in the air conditioning if we are wet and near death. So a pair of long running pants and a long sleeve T.

Is it time to leave yet? I was feeling pretty good about my 18 miler till I read about Wendy going a Goofy to train for the Goofy.:upsidedow

Hi Dave,

As for post marathon day eve, I'm just throwing this out there: I've never been, but I've been told that Raglan Road is decent (the Irish Pub/Restaurant just outside of the PI entrance). Would this be a nice place for those WISHers interested to meet for a bite/drink before assaulting Pleasure Island as a group? (Or at least just to meet as a group so we can all walk to PI together?)

I'm up for whatever (assuming I'm not already asleep in my room by 6 pm :headache: )

You don't wanna miss the Pleasure Island thing. The best way I can discribe it, is to compare it to the aftermath of a battle, everyone is hobbling around but happy beyond belief. The Pleasure island is only open to the athletes and their families and friends so everyone has a medal and a big grin.

We will do a post later when it gets closer as to where to meet at the PI.

Party Panda:hippie:

We arrive Thursday morning so after some R&R by the pool...weather permitting we will head over tot he Expo. Probably hit ESPN for dinner.

Well we are definatley in for the POP meet on the 11th.

Pleasure Island Sunday night

Other then that not 100% sure what we are going to do.

We should all be able to meet over at the Expo then maybe a group dinner at ESPN, I think if I twisted Robert's arm a little he might agree to dinner at ESPN. Especially if there is beer involved.

Oh Kim I'm starting to get excited to go and it's still 2 months off. Taper maddness will be interesting. I think I'm having Disney withdrawal.

Excited Panda:hippie:

Sounds good to me, or even that restaurant that you all went to after mini putting it sounded good. Looking forward to the expo as well.

I know hard to believe we where just there a few weeks ago and I am anxious to get back.

Kim

I would like to be at the Expo at 3:00pm(when it opens). Get everything over with. There is the All Star Cafe at WWoS for a possible early dinner. It could be really busy with all the runners. If it is, than we can all head to ESPN via WDW Transport.

Unfortunately I don't have the same excitement right now. Shin is very slow in responding. Has been hurting while I sleep. Back to PT. I have 8 more weeks:confused3 Right now I would have problems walking the parks:sad1:

Yikes, Robert that's not good, I have suffered and still do suffer from shin splints once and a while and my god to they ever hurt. I tried to explain the pain to Mike and to me it feels like every step my shin is going to split in 2, then once it passes my legs are very fatigued. Take care of those:grouphug:

We will have a vehicle but have reserved a compact so depending on what size we actually get you all can get cozy in the back seat again and we can head over......just duck when the cops drive by..:lmao:

I would agree I am sure WWoS would be packed but I have never been there so that is also a good option.

Robert, I think our friendship is strong enough that I can say this. "If I wrote what you did, what would you say to me"?

I bet you didn't have anyone cough up a hair ball in your Mizuno Revolvers this morning! Darn kitten:mad:

I love Expos so I can try on shoes our local stores don't carry. I really want to try the Mizuno Universe and some of the new racing flats. Yes for sure we will be there with you when it opens. Erica is gonna want a goofy Jacket and a Goofy hoodie. (Women)

Relaxing Panda:hippie:

We did ASC when pickuping our Minnie packets. Lines not bad than but a lot less runners. If we are first in and out at Expo/Packet pickup, we should have a chance. It is a nice place to have some food and a cold beverage;)

Dave: The weather is changing and it is gloomy outside. I think it has creeped inside:sad2: I will be on the starting line of at least on race:confused3

Gotta love kittens. At least she loves you:lmao:

Hey! DH and I are planning on getting to the Expo on Thursday when it opens at 3PM. We would be interested in joining the group for supper wherever that may be!
