Wish me luck I have 2 singing comps today

I am really nervous. I have to singing comotisions tonight for songs from the musicals. I am doing The Saga of Jenny and Just You Wait. This comp is always the hardests as you have people from the Britt school in it (it is a performing arts school).

I also have 2 tomorrow which are best girl/ boy chorister (I won that one last year) and Classical. I am singing Ave Verum Corpus and Amarillli Mia Bella.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I have just got back from them and they were really hard comps.

In the first one it was a mix of both normal people and people who go to the brit school (for those who dont know the brit school is a performing arts school, so it is really hard to get placed when they are in it). Anyway I came 3rd in it :jump: .

In the 2nd one I was the only person win it who didn't go to the brit school. I didn't get a placement (I got a commended) but this is what she wrote :

lots of character - well done! Projection is excellent. When you come to the 'Ambile' passage - keep the energy up - observe altered rhythms, with crisper consonants. Then it will make the contrast effective between sections. Voal/ body co-ordination is good. Open facial expression. WELL DONE! Always fluent.

So I am so happy.

I have 2 tomorrow which I will hopefully do well in.

I am sure that u will do fine. I know how nervous you are. I am going to Virginia Beach this month, with my chorus, band, color guard, and percussian groups. We have one competition each, but we only get 15 minutes of prep time berfore we perform. I hope that you do very well.

Thank you, I am about to go to my 1st one of the day (it is at 10am BST) and the next one is at 12:45 (BST). I hope I do well in these ones as they are classical and this style fits my voice better (plus they don't have the britt school competing).

I came 2nd in my chorister one - I knew I wouldn't win it the moment the song was over. For some reason I was so nervous and didn't sing as well as I have done, although I got a really good report.

For the second one I didn't get placed (they only did 1st place), but I got a commended.

So that is it for this year.
