Who wants to join the October exercise challenge?

You'll automatically be signed up for 1000 minutes unless you post a different goal in this thread.

Reporting your minutes for the exercise challenge:
  • Please post your minutes weekly instead of daily. If you want to post your minutes daily, start one thread on the 1st day of the week and edit your post to include all minutes exercised for that week.
  • Please post your minutes in the following format: Total minutes exercised during the week/Total minutes exercised for October's challenge
The table below is in the following format: Name of WISHer, Goal, Minutes exercised for days 1-7, 8-14 (and so on), total minutes exercised, minutes to goal.

I can't wait for tomorrow to arrive. I am ready to start working on my October goal now. I am sticking with 1000 minutes for this month.

We will be at WDW at the end of October. How many minutes of exercise is a day in the park? :teeth:

Hiya Rae Ann ~ Please count me in. Can you put me in for 2500 this month ~ I'm going to work really hard.

Sat. 55 min run. Beautiful fall day!

Sun. 10-2 40 min. of upper arm work.

Mon. 10-3 Rest day Feeling a bit tired too.
Tues. 10-4 - 60 minutes of fitness club
Thurs. 10-6 - 45 minute run.
Sat. Garage Sale - does that count

Total for the week - 200 minutes/200 for the Oct. Challenge.
 
Sign me up for 1500 this month... Not sure I can get 2000 in with kids going on fall break in a couple of weeks.

I think I'll join in for 1200 minutes again this month.
 
Just joined wish, so count me in for the exercise challenge for October. I will keep it at 1000 since this is my first time.

What a great place to stay motivated. Thanks everybody.

Now, I just need my pc hooked up to my treadmill so I can read the boards while I exercise.:D
 
OK, I'm in for 1200 this month. Goofy! I wish I'd of thought of that idea. If only there would be a way to TM and DIS at the same time. I could probably double my time!

I'm in four the count of. . . .1350. Adding a little bit each time :teeth:

When we hook the PC to the treadmill, we need to make the

treadmill be the energy for the 'puter to go. Then, we'd really be motivated to move!
 
I'm in for Oct! Thanks, Rae Ann, for doing this again! I really appreciate all the work you do to keep this challenge going!

I'm going to up the pace a little bit this month & go for 2500 min. I'm not sure I'll make it, but it is doable for me & it will make me push myself harder, which is what it's all about!

Quackattack, we spend a lot of time in the parks. What I do is time just my longer walks done at a brisk pace. I have a wristwatch with a stopwatch in it that I can start & stop during the day to add up my minutes. For example, I count minutes walking in from the parking lot or from one side of the park to the other if we go non-stop, but not walking through shops or from one attraction right next door to the next one. Hope that helps. Maybe we'll see you in a park somewhere while you're in the area! :wave2:
 
Ok, I'm in for 1000 minutes this month and I will make it, barring any unforseen illnesses. I would have made it in September, but the darn cold won't go away, now I've got the scratchy cough and clogged up head instead of the sore throat, and runny nose...arrrgghh!!! Maybe exercise will burn those germs away better than the medicines...:rolleyes:
 
Please sign me up for 1000 minutes. :) I did my 30 minutes for yesterday and will be doing my 30 minutes for today when DH wakes up in a few minutes. :)
 
Please add me in for 1100. I excercised 180 minutes so far this month, so I am at 820/1000.
