First time Disney cruiser (well did one like 20 years ago don’t even remember what ship). We usually cruise Celebrity in their Retreat area. In speaking with many people it has been suggested we do a Disney cruise. We are big Disney fans. We have the option to go from Ft Lauderdale or Port Canaveral for our dates. Looking at a 3 or 4 day sailing to try it out.
Since ports aren’t an issue, all basically the same, we have the options of the Wish, Dream or Magic for the dates we are looking at.
We are two adults with no kids. Looking to go concierge level
Which ship would you recommend and why?

If you are going concierge, the Wish has the best concierge lounge.
The Magic concierge was refurbished last year and is not to bad.
We haven't done concierge on the Dream so I can't give an opinion of it.

However between the 3, the Wish has the best concierge lounge. It even has an adult hot tub.
It is also split between 2 floors.
The Dream and Magic are only on 1 floor.

The Wish does have a lot more staterooms in Concierge so the lounge could get busier than the Dream and definitely the Magic.

I have sailed concierge on the Wish and Dream and Fantasy-two adults, no kids. While I love the lounge and concierge area on the Wish and the Wish is a gorgeous ship, I prefer one of the others, personally. However, for a first time cruiser, I would recommend the Wish. Gorgeous ship and the concierge is just beautiful- sun deck, hot tub, bar outside. The lounge never felt overly crowded to me, but on our recent cruise on the Wish, the ship did. Do a 4 day if you can, get a room near the lounge. Three days is just too short.

We've sailed concierge on the Dream, Wish, Fantasy and Magic. Of those, Wish concierge is the best product.

We've sailed concierge on each of the ships as well. While the Wish has the best lounge, the service provided doesn't compare to the Magic or the Dream. We felt more like a number on the Wish than any of the other Disney ships both inside and outside of the CL.

As others have stated, the Dream offers the best for CL and adult area experience of the three. We always enjoy the Magic as well and agree the updates to the CL have made it more comfortable.

We have our first Celebrity cruise in the The Retreat booked in 2026 and are looking forward to comparing the experience with DCL.

Let us know which one you decide on (they are all awesome) and happy cruising!

Dream concierge lounge was just remodeled … I would recommend the Dream, then the Magic and last the Wish. Overall the Dream has the best adults only spaces of the three ships you are considering.
That is the exact order I was going to recommend as well. The Wish is a fine ship but the others have superior theming and the deck space is utilized so much better (also way better shade on the other ships)

Totally agree here - and the service is such a huge part of the experience.

Dont understand why anyone would do concierge on the wish. 3-4 nights is not enough time to explore all the ships bars and restaurants as it is. Time spent at the unthemed concierge lounge is time missed at the better themed bars and restaurants. If you want an adult dinner go to enchante or palo. Its better and 1000s of dollars cheaper then the concierge lounge.

Perhaps they have sailed on the Wish more than once.

I can’t speak to Concierge but we really enjoyed the adult-only areas and the spa couples villas on the Magic. Do you care which private “island” you go to? That may be the determining factor for you. Also, it’s much easier to travel between the airport at Fort Lauderdale and Port Everglades, than between MCO and Port Canaveral. However, Port Canaveral is ideal is you want to include a trip to WDW with your cruise.

Hi don’t care what private island. While we will get off because we haven’t seen Disneys private island we enjoy the “ship” experience. We live literally like a mile from Port Everglades so that’s not an issue and also have a home in Winter Garden about 5 minutes outside Disney gate. So going to Port Canaveral is about an hour drive if the experience on the ship that sails from Port Canaveral is better we would go from there. Where we live we actually see the Dream going by every few days and when it’s in port. More interested in enjoying the ship, restaurants and lounges and shows than the ports in the Caribbean

Ok all so we are thinking the Dream. One big reason in part because have heard Remy and Palo are excellent restaurants. However I have heard that it’s very difficult to get reservations there unless you are very high up in the Disney Cruise Club. As basically second time cruisers would we have difficulty getting reservations?
