Wish delayed with mechanical problems

We are on the Wish now and we were delayed getting to Nassau it was 11am when we got here this morning. Captain Andy told us we would be delayed leaving Nassau due to a mechanical issue.

Sorry to hear the Wish is having problems.

I'm on this cruise as well. We were delayed docking this morning due to a "technical issue," so they extended all aboard time to 6pm (from the originally scheduled 5:15). Then we were informed a mechanical issue would delay us leaving port, with no firm time for departure. They also had to cancel the pirate party fireworks due to our late departure. It's 9:41 and we are still in port (so cancelling the fireworks was a good call, lol). No idea when we'll depart or how this will affect Castaway Cay day tomorrow (if it does).

We got a letter in our stateroom this morning. No specifics on what the issue was, but I wouldn't expect that. It's been fixed.

We're departing Nassau around 10 this morning, and due to weather (I'm guessing winds) we're skipping Castaway Cay. Bonus is they've rescheduled the fireworks for tonight (weather permitting).

Wow! Sorry that you missed CC but rather be safe than sorry! Let us know if they offer any OBC, discounts for future cruises etc as compensation? I am assuming port fees for CC will be refunded to each guest?

Yes, $100 onboard credit and 20% off future cruise. No mention of port fees but I imagine if DCL gets the refund they'll pass it along.

The winds do look kinda ugh. Bummed about missing CC, but also not mad about a sea day.

I believe future cruise credits in the past were valid for all cruises but now are limiting the credit to 3, 4 and 7 day cruises. Strange.

It’s not compensation for missing CC. It is compensation for the mechanical issue. If they missed CC simply because of weather, there would be nothing offered.

People are ridiculous. i would be very happy with a 20% discount!
