WISh Check-in week of July 20

Hello All

I am happy to report a 3lb loss this week - I am delighted about this and feeling very positive! I have now proudly added my 10lb clippie for my total loss since joining WISH three weeks ago!

My total loss since beginning this diet is 14lbs - my fellow Brits know this is a special pleasure - having lost my first Stone!!

Finding this place has been so positive for me - when I feel tempted to stray - I come here and read a few posts for encouragement - thank-you all so much.

Well done to all you loosers this week - those who stayed the same or gained - Keep Going you can do it - you ARE changing your life for the better!

This week I lost another 2 1/2lbs and another 2inches! My total now is 28 1/2lbs and 19inches!I am thrilled with the progression and am hoping to hit the 30lb mark by my next weigh in.
This week will be challenging for me because I have a lot of stressful things going on at home. Yesterday was really difficult but I was able to drink water every time I felt like eating. I just have to keep my head together and my thoughts focused!
Congratulations to everyone that checked in this week. Just by checking in, you have taken a positive step in your success with weight loss. Don't be discouraged if there wasn't a loss or there was a gain. It happens to everyone and it is how you deal with it that will count for the next weigh in! Good luck in the upcoming week to everyone!
 
Not too great of a week for me - only lost 0.6 of a pound....but atleast that's something, right?

Got to be better this week!!!

I lost one pound for a total of six. I'm actually pretty nervous. The first time I did WW and got down to this weight I hit a major plateau and gave up. So I'm hoping the same won't hapen this time too. i'm just going to keep at it and hope for the best.
 

Well, I only lost a half-pound this week, but I am okay with that. We housesat for friends, and they always leave sooo much bad food around, that I was way off for my eating.

But I'm also really proud of myself, too. Last week for the first time in a looong time, I went to Curves 4 days and I walked 5 miles. So even if I didn't get the weight loss I wanted, I was really active! And that's a big step for me. I'll just focus more on my eating better this week.
 
I weighed in earlier this evening and lost 2lbs. I'm really chuffed as this takes me below the next stone mark. Not only that but I went to TGIFridays at the weekend and made some very careful (and totally out of character) choices- barbecued chicken salad, coffee, no dessert. I am so proud of myslef this week.:Pinkbounc

Hey everybody! Sounds like everyone is doing grrreat!! I've been off the boards for a while now, but I have been really dieting and exercising, and I'm down a whopping 33 lbs!!!! Plenty more to go, but I'm excited! I've been walking 3 miles at night and when I can't do that I use my Walk away the pounds video. I've been doing Slim Fast twice a day and a healthy meal at night, but I'm going to start Atkins next Monday so wish me luck! Good luck and congrats to all of you!!!:D
 
WOWZERS- I couldn't believe my eyes! I lost 4 pounds last week and am now at 202- only 2.5 pounds from being in ONEDERLAND- I won't get overly excited and think I can hit it next week- usually when I have a big loss like this the next 2 weeks are 1 pounders- but there's hope.

I was so PSYCHED on my weigh in that I was RARING to tackle my walk this am- only 2 miles into my 4 mile walk an incredibly BIG BLACK SKY filled the air above me and I RAN the last mile- I couldn't breathe when I reached the door- but thank GOD I made it- within seconds of my entering the house the winds hit 80-90 mph!!! trees down, powerlines down- and believe me there was NO WARNING!! Just a normal sky at 6am then at 6:30 it was a little gray with one streak of lightning way off in the distance then 5 minutes later is was BLACK!! We've had no electricity all day and the rest of Memphis may not get it for 7-10days! As soon as we got ours back I had to post my loss!! You guys are responsible for my determination and sticktoittiveness!

Wow! We all did so great this week - I love this board, you guys are so motivating and supportive!!

I just got back from my WW meeting/WI and I'm done 2.6 lbs!! 45.8 total since joining WW and 13.2 since WISH! I'll be sporting that 15 lb clippie in no time ;-)

I have not checked in for a few weeks - still maintaining very well. I am actually below my goal weight right now. Not to worry, we are attending DH's 20th High School Reunion this weekend and I wanted to look my best.

Well...I am not losing weight, but on the good side I am not gaining either.

I am still going to Curves, and trying to modify my eating.
Going very slow!!!!

My DH has decided to join me in the weight loss. I think with him trying to lose weight, too, it will inspire me more.

I am down 1 pound this week! I was hoping it would be more but I'll gladly take the 1. I did a bit of experimenting with some of the different Atkins products and that seemed to slow things down for me, I'll just have to learn to say no to that chocolate craving. Plus I did cheat and share popcorn with DH when we went to see the Pirates movie (we loved it!) on Sunday, the smell overwhelmed me and I couldn't help myself LOL.

The next 2 weeks will be hard for me as we have a couple big picnics and DD and I will be going to spend a few days in Northern WI with my sister and brother-in-law next weekend, I'm going to have to really watch that I don't slip completely back into my old habits (they have a bakery that has the best donuts ever and I told DD we're going to be strong and just drive by, I hope we can do it).

I almost didn't post this morning because I am so discouraged - after 3 weeks I have lost 2 pounds...gained the 2 pounds back ..and this morning - gained 2 more pounds!! I guess my plan to "cut down without a plan" is not working - I thought I was doing so well- doing my WATP 3x week..drinking more water - cutting way back on sweets and snacks....now I don't know what to eat at all. And my tummy is growling.
I did get a PM Buddy who has offered to walk me thru WW with her - trying to stay positive - please send good thoughts.

Yeay - another lb gone and that's with MAJOR CHEATING going on!!!

Both Kids have been away since Monday so I've been making the most of the time and spending it with Colin. So far it's been the pub every night. Monday night forgot how Atkins reduces your tolerance to alcohol and got totally legless on 2 glasses of white wine. In my inebriated state we went for a Thai and I just plain forgot I wasn't supposed to have rice - OOOOPS! Or Prawn Crackers - OOOOOPS X 2!!

Last night just had the one glass of wine and we cooked together so I did a really nice stir fry with steak, mange tout, peppers, mushrooms and onions in black bean sauce.

And I still lost !!!!! I think cos I'm sticking to induction most of the time, my body is letting me get away with the odd carb splurge.

But I'll post my pathetic WI that showed me up a pound! Ok ok ok I don't need to hear it - I know that I've slacked on the eating end of this new healthy lifestyle and I'm mid-way to being where I need to be. Each day I try to refocus a little more and yesterday was pretty good so I think I'm heading in the right direction finally! Sooo easy to get off track and sooooooooo hard to get back on.

I expected to maintain as I didn't feel puffy, but a pound isn't much difference. It'll be gone next week and some more I hope! I'm using KathyTX weight tracker to help me foresee the future of staying OP and Kamy's reward chart to keep me focused when the craving strike! Darn this summer and cute little girls that want ice cream!!!!

Moving along! Lost 2.6 this week for a WISH total of 22.6 and a WW total of 52.6! Smiling here!! Tried harder to hit my minimum points most days--maybe that helped...? Also did the WATP 2 mile tape every day last week and did the 1 mile a couple of extra times.

Now got a stressful week or two coming--it's back to school time next week:eek: Those firstgraders can make me too tired to cook or eat right--gotta plan and cook ahead this week!!

I am down another 2 pounds as of WI yesterday...today it says I am down 1 pound. Since my "Official WI" was yesterday I am sticking with 2 pounds gone!!!

I have have been keeping that low carb/Atkins going. I increased activity and still need to develop some sort of plan or routine for my exercise. I did a cheat this weekend cuz we celebrated DS's graduation and I ate cake---3 pieces. I had beer---3 of those too. The rest of the day I stayed on the low carb and low calorie plan. The cake and beer threw my day Waayyyyyy out. It was just one day so I think I rationed my poison just fine. I am still listed in the Moderately Obese category on fitday.com and my goal will remain to get to the normal weight range.

Oh and now for more good news!!!!:Pinkbounc
Just for the heck of it I had a pair of jeans shorts I was going to toss out cuz they have been so small I haven't fit them in YEARS. (Size 14) I put them on and they zipped! I can wear them and I am sooooo happy. I was bursting all weekend with pride because I wasn't bursting out and :teeth: :teeth: they didn't look like camel toes on me.

I am away next week and worry about how I will do. I just know that I plan to enjoy myself but I won't totally lose control. I also know I will get right back on when we return and continue with my new lifestyle of eating and activity.

Everyone--keep on keepin' on. You can do it! Get your mind in the plan and do this for you. It is not always easy, just remember--You are worth it!
 
I am very happy to report a 2 lb loss this week. After no loss last week, and 10 my first, I will take the 2lbs and love it! Hopefully, the no loss last week was a combination of lost inches and TOM. Congrats to everyone on their losses and maintaining, and if you gained....there will be a new check in next week, so focus on that and leave this week behind you!
