WISh Check-in week of July 20

OMG honeymo78 - 119!! I haven't seen that since fifth grade! LOL!

Well - with Katholyn's advice , I weighed in despite my horrible week. And, ta da! I stayed the same! Well at first it was down a pound but I got on again and it seems to be the same. I hate my scale! It isn't digital and I have a hard time seeing the dang thing!

I just want to tell you all how impressed I am with everyone's determination and progress. So happy to be here!

Stick with it this week, gang!

I am down just 1 pound, although that is good--after spending a stressful day at the ER w/Alzheimer's mom (pneunomia) AND a full afternoon/evening at Country Thunder. People walking around with roasted corn on the cob and corn dogs...the smell of kettle korn...funnel cakes...mmmmmmmm! I resisted all evils and stuck to plan with a chicken fajita, and left the shell behind. So, a pound lost is better than a gain, or living with the guilt of cheating!!
Great job everyone!!!:p

I am proud of myself today. I didn't cheat all week - even thru TOM, a baseball game and wedding until yesterday (my shower.) And looking at what I ate yesterday, I didn't go crazy, so I am very happy to report a 1 pound loss this week. Hopefully the cake testing this week won't kill me.

Good job everyone. I am so happy to have joined all you LOSERS!!

Great news for me this week!!! I got to upgrade to a 15lb clippie! Yippee! :bounce:

I weighed in at 152.6 which is about 1 1/2-2lbs less than last week. :teeth:

Congrats to the weekly losers & maintainers!! :teeth:

Those of you who have gained, I'm sure it's just water retention. You will show a loss soon. Chin up & don't give up!

Hi All!

I just got back from visiting relatives for almost 10 days--it is good to be home! We went back to where my husband and I grew up--and most of our relatives still live to celebrate our daughters first birthday.

I think I did pretty well, wish-wise--I don't like bday cake (and Sarah ended up with four, at different houses and parties), but we are from the Philadelphia area--home of cheesesteaks, pizza, soft pretzels and hoagies--all foods that are triggers for me, and all foods that I can't get her in South Carolina (or at least I can't get "good": ones):)

ANyway, I am up one pound, for a total of 1 pound gained so far. (For those who don't know, I am pregnatn with #2, so a one pound gain is fine at this point).

As an aside, I saw my doctor the day before we left--I am 9 weeks along, and the doctor was impressed--I weigh 25 lbs less than I did at the start of my first pregnancy!

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week!

Well after a week of camping I got on the scale one eye open and peaked. I'd lost .5 lb!!!!! I couldn't beleive it I didn't drink enough, I cheated on a few things (that s'more jumped in my mouth) I was good about watching bread and stuff but all the trail mix and what not I'd find my fingers in it with out knowing. I didn't get on it this am because we had pizza last night and I ate 2 1/2 pieces (whoops) Well I'll be back exercising today with the WATP tapes and my elliptical.
We had a blast camping, tried kayacking for the first time I guess the resistance belt paid off my arms didn't hurt after 5 miles of paddling. We did Storyland I pushed the empty stroller ( 2 weeks when we go back It's staying at home! My baby's growing up.
Congrats to everyone we're one good bunch of losers.

Well it's been a couple of weeks since I've posted but I think part of my whirlwind summer has tamed down to just a strong wind so I'm getting back in the saddle and ready to go!! I'm going to say I had a 1 lb. loss this week because I lost some, gained some, and then lost some - so I'm going off of when I claimed my clippie 2 weeks ago and considering that my "net loss". Not too shabby considering this delicious bbq I went to this past Saturday ;) ;) I've got 6.5 weeks left to Disney and while I would love to lose 10 more lbs., I'll be happy with 5 or 7. Either way it'll still be the thinnest I've ever been at WDW and that is already cause for celebration!!!

Good luck and great job to everyone for your hard work and determination - let's all be Losers!!!

Sorry I didn't check in last week - it was v. busy at work!

I'm starting my fourth week of Atkins today and so far things are going well. Lost 3.5 pounds last week - which is not as exciting as the 10 I lost the first week of induction but as long as that number keeps creeping down I'll be happy. (The second week of induction I was on antibiotics for a bronchial infection and I didn't lose anything.) I'm not finding it all that hard to follow, but I did deliberately cheat yesterday - went for dim sum with my mom. But we both cut way back on what we usually pick out and were full much more quickly then usual. And I didn't use it as an excuse to blow the whole day either. I planned it as a special treat (it's our morning ritual every couple of months when one of us is feeling stressed or in need of relaxing) and didn't feel like "well, now I might as well have an ice cream too, since I'm going off."
I'm trying not to think of this as a diet; it's a change in eating habits. So I think of everything as a choice: "I'm not eating that" rather than "I can't have that." That's helping me a lot - and WISH is such an inspiration I feel like I have to succeed!

Up a pound this week :( That puts my two month loss at 1/2 pound. :( Not very pretty results....

I was trying to be good this week and I did so much better early in the week but by Friday the BF and TOM hit and I had some of the worst cravings I have ever experienced in my life. They were terrible and to make matters worse I had to go grocery shopping...not a good combination. I ate so much this weekend but I really felt like if I did not eat then I would have killed everyone around me...it was a miserable feeling. I hope I never feel that way again. :(

Well onward and downward...so far this morning things are going well. Hopefully I can carry this through the week.

Up and down week. in the middle of last week I got on the scale and had gained 5 pounds:( !! However, this morning I am back to where I was last week!

This afternoon I am going to clean the Mud Room (huge job!!) and then walk on the treadmill while watching Oprah.

I feel like I have to recommit myself every week--'This is the week I finally stay on track.' This Board helps to keep me honest;)

....until next week.......twk

This week I lost four lbs, and then gained one in the end for some reason, anyway I am at 212.5 and still need to get back and past my start weight of 211. Getting closer and should knock it down this week.

Hi Everyone! I'm finally getting around to posting. :) I lost a half pound this week, and I'll take that thank you. I know that I need to work harder at this, and the slow pace could get pretty discouraging, but I refuse to bow to that! ½ pound down is w-a-a-a-a-y better than ½ pound up, right?? My mini-goal is to hit that next clippie (a BIG one) by the time I go on vacation, mid-August. My goal for the next week is to lose that other ½ pound to bring me to the next 10%. WISH me luck!!!

First week on Atkins and have lost 5lbs!!! It was actually easier than I thought, but the food can get monotonous.

Well, now that I've officially joined the Challenge, I can report this week!

I lost 2 lbs despite it being a rough food week for me. Tuesday was the neighborhhood ice cream social (co-hosted by me, of course!). So I was sociable and had a dish of Friendly's vanilla with Hershey syrup, strawberries (and I think some M&M's!). Then the leftover ice cream came home with me...but I've stuck to a half a cup every night. Then Friday I had the "Dietary Disaster" at work with the 540 calorie muffin from Panera Bread. Then yesterday we we're at Fenway and I had a Polish Sausage, half a small Papa Gino's cheese pizza, a Sports Bar (ice cream) and a small vanilla soft serve cone! Needless to say, I am back on the wagon today and feeling the effects of yesterday's poor choices. UGH!

Gotta give credit to working out!

You guys are doing great.

I don't normally post on this thread (mostly because I forget) but I just wanted to say good for all of you!

It was a good week, lost almost 2 pounds! I am now down 54 pounds in a little over a year, but I have forgotten what weight I was when I started the WISH challenge.

I was on the band wagon at the start, but did not write it down. Since March 1 I have lost 14 pounds so I guess it is close to that :)

Tomorrow I get weighed and measured at Curves for the first time. So we shall see what that brings!!

Have a great week all

Debbie

 Hi Everyone!!

We rolled back into Nashville last night after our WDW trip and I am SO happy to report that I lost .5 pound while we were gone!! I think I must have sweat it out. ;)

I am sorry to be home from WDW (it's the post-Disney depression talking) but I am glad to be back at WISH!!

Off to try and catch up with these boards! :teeth:

I did it! I lost 1.8 pound this week! YEAH!

That makes a total of 17.6 since 6/2/03, and a 5 pound loss with the WISH challenge!

YEAH!! I was so afraid the TOM Bloat Fairy was going to wreck havock on any loss!

Melanie

I'm happy to report another 2 lb loss this week! :bounce: :Pinkbounc
That was in spite of 2 cook-outs at my house & a pizza party for work. :earseek: The next 2 wks should be a lot more stable because no more cookouts or eating out in the near future.
My goal is to stick to plan this next 2 weeks & keep up with exercise. I'm starting to really see some results, & I like what I'm seeing! :sunny:

I know I'm late posting this week but it's another 1lb gone.

Sue
