WISh Check-in week of August 31

Finally the scale moved downward! I've been stuck for almost 3 weeks and was getting very annoyed, but this week I lost 3 lbs!:Pinkbounc I have to be very good this week to fit into my party dress for Saturday. I know I'll cheat a bit since it's my birthday/graduation party but since we're having lots of Atkins friendly food I won't stray too much (but I must have cake & ice cream!) The good thing is that I'm so unused to sugar now that most things taste TOO sweet, so I don't have to eat much to feel like I had a treat.
Good going everyone!

(those of you who like SNL will get that! LOL!!)

Well, I'm down 1 lb this week! So....***drumroll please***

I've lost 50 lbs!!!

:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'd hoped to lose more than a pound, but heck, I'll take it! So onward and downward I go, I go! I wish I could sport a 50 lb clippie, but alas, it's not all been on WISH..oh well! Someday!

Have a SUPER week everyone!!

Christiana

P.S. Oh yeah, I also found out I won a contest for Cirque de Soleil tickets! What a great day :)

Weighed in last night and am back up 1/2 lb - not complaining tho - ate tons of stuff this weekend :)

This week WILL be better - am of to WDW and will be walking up a storm!!!

unfortunately I still don't have the time to read all those great check-ins so let me just say a blanket Congrats to all the losers and Hang in there! Chin UP!! to the maintainers...........

like me. But i'm renewed in my excitement for my WW journey and feel maybe just maybe i can report a loss next week!!

This is a bit of a late check-in, as I just got back from vacation last night, and didn't weigh myself until this morning. I really didn't want to post, but I might as well. I've gained a pound. Very demoralizing, even though I know I'm retaining water right now and will probably be back down next week. I so desperately wanted my first clippie today, but I guess it was not to be.

I was SOOOO good on vacation, too. I exercised every single day, either getting up early and walking for 45 minutes, or taking a 6 mile bike ride with DH. I'm now up to *23* days of exercise in a row, BTW. I also did tons of walking around town (Vancouver, BC), climbed a nasty hill on the way to breakfast one morning, and hiked up to the base of Whistler Glacier (after taking the gondola ride, of course). My eating was really good, too - I didn't overeat once, made some good choices (especially for breakfast), and even left food on my plate because I sensed that I was full already. And no fast food! I even dealt with a situation where emotional eating was a real possibility, but I didn't let my eating get out of control.

My big problem was with all that exercise, I totally failed to drink enough water, and I'm guessing that's probably the major cause of my weight gain. Even so, it's so difficult to work so hard over vacation to make all kinds of right choices (and still have a good time!), only to see a negative result in the end. I just have to believe that I AM living like a healthy person, and my body will eventually get with the program.

This is everyone who posted to page two:

DaddyDon Way to go! Another 3 pounds gone forever and a beautiful new gold clipart. I'm envious. You are doing a terrific job. I'm so happy and proud for you.

mum4jenn Good job! You are working your way steadily to goal. Dragging Don along behind you, too, what a great wife you are! Love y'all's updated photo, you're both looking great.

honeymo78 Good for you maintaining your weight this past week. That's a good sign that you will be able to keep the weight off when you have finished losing.

Stocking up on lean cuisine meals is a great idea for dealing with those evenings when you are too tired to cook. Great plan!

susan514 Excellent! Another pound gone forever. You are doing so well. No clipart, though?

I'm proud of you, cutie. Keep this up and you will be at goal in no time at all.

Beastlover WOW! Look at that gorgeous gold clippie in your signature. What a great success you are. Another two pounds gone forever.

I hope you are feeling proud of yourself because I'm sure proud of you.

becka I think losing 2 pounds in one week is really great progress, Becka. Especially if you ate out where it wasn't WW friendly. You must have controlled your portions very well.

Sorry to hear about your toe. Those broken toes are so painful. You will be back to working out soon, though, do not despair. {{{HUGS}}}

msteddom That's what I love about you sweetie, your enthusiam. You made great progress this past week. Be proud of yourself, we are all proud of you!

geetey Oh, SG, I just love your enthusiasm and positive attitude. Good for you, losing another 1.5 pounds. You are just racing down that road to goal and I'm very proud of you!

addicted_to_WDW I love that new clipart in your signature. Just gorgeous! Good for you losing another two pounds.

You are doing just great and I hope you are feeling proud because I know that all of your WISH friends are feeling proud of you.

pixiechick Good for you having your lunches all planned out. That's the way to success, planning.

I hope you have a great school year, I'll bet you do great!

audflash Sorry to hear about your stomach problems, Audrey. Will you be choosing a new eating plan or just eating sensibly? Whatever you choose, I'm sure you will be successful. Get to exercising cutie and I'll bet you make your final goal.

I'll be in Phoenix on 10/9 will you be on your trip then?

I love reading about everyone's progress each week. Thanks for posting here.

Onward and downward,

Katholyn

Happy to say down 3 lbs. On my 13th cheat free day and plan to have many more. Thanks for all the motivation.

Hey Losers!!! A quick checkin before I get down to work around here. DS starts 2nd grade tomorrow!

What great progress W.I.S.H.ers are making! I continue to be motivated by the amazing things you have all accomplished--the big losses, as well as the little ones. And keeping up with the exercise--fantastic!

Keep it going!!!!

Well, another late check-in for me, but better late than never, right! The good news is that I've lost 1 lb this week! :teeth: I seem to have been losing at 1 lb/wk lately. So I've now lost 30 lbs total & 24 lbs since starting WISH! One more to go so I can earn that 25 lb clippie, and I do want to do that before we go to Vegas next week.

Sorry, I haven't been checking like I should lately.:(

The good news is I have 3.5 lbs since I last reported in.

It has been a really hard week. I have been pretty sick (two trip to the dr. with lots of meds.) and now they have me taking steroids that are making me hungry all the time. Not to mention all I have been able to do is lie on the couch and forget exercise. I guess I'll have to start all over with my exercise clippie

As long as I'm better in time to board the plane to Disney I'll live!!!

I really want that 20 lb clippie before I go

Thursday weigh in time again and I'm happy to report ANOTHER 1 1/2 pounds gone! Amazing because I've been so tempted by Satan this week!! Even last night while dishing out ice cream for my dh....I wasn't hungry, but ate a bite anyway (special seasonal ice cream from our local ice cream shop---chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cookie dough balls and dark chocolate chocolate chips!!!) So I was ready for God to wake me up with either no loss or a gain, but He blessed me with a loss and I'm going to return the favor and try extra hard to glorify Him! :)

Keep up the good work WISHers! Wish I could be here more but school and house construction is keeping me busy! You're all in my thoughts and prayers though!

All the best to my WISH friends! I haven't been doing great but I keep moving onward and downward, just a little more slowly than I would like to. We had way to many meals out and that never helps. But we've done a good shopping and have good choices of good things to eat at home now... We just keep plugging along!

Hello to all my WISH friends :) I'm happy to report a loss of 0.4 lbs :p I definetly thought I would have a gain because of all the long-weekend parties I went to :p I'm slowly closing in on that 15 lb clippie *lol*

Good job to everyone who maintained or lost this week! Keep up the good work :)

mowsie dreamer WOO HOO!! Good for you! Not only another pound lighter but you have earned yourself one of those pretty gold clippies. Are you smiling and feeling proud of yourself? You have made me smile and I'm always proud of you.

Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it.

Baileymouse Some weeks are like that, cutie. Do not despair, the pounds will disappear it is just taking a little longer than you like. I hope you have measured yourself, our measurements are an even better indicator of our success than the scale.

Hang in there. I'll bet you see a loss by next weigh in. {{{HUGS}}}

NancyK I told you! I knew you would get rid of that fluid you brought back with you from WDW. You're back on track, now and newly focused on your goal. You're going to be showing a loss next week, I'm sure of it.

Be proud of yourself. You have a wonderful determination and that is very motivating for us all. I'm proud of you.

Claire4dpins Look at you! You've crossed the onederland barrier, earned a new clipart and lost another pound since then. What a great success you are, I'm so happy and proud for you.

wdwnutze WOW! You lost two more inches? EXCELLENT! Losing 1.5 pounds is pretty awesome, too, but I'm more impressed that you are 2 inches smaller. Way to go!

You are doing great with this. Isn't it wonderful to see your clothing getting larger and getting so many wonderful compliments? I'm very proud of you, be proud of yourself!

lmhall2000 WOO HOO!!! Look at you go! You are doing great, sweetie. Another two pounds gone forever and you've earned a new clipart. Good job!

You still have time to lose that last 5 pounds but even if you don't you are going to be looking so good for your dream vacation. Keep it up, cutie, I'm so proud of you.

ead79 You lost .4 pounds even though the BF has visited you? That is awesome, it probably means that you actually lost a pound or two. You'll have to wait until that fluid is all gone before you find out. Be sure and let us know.

I like your positive attitude. It is going to help you reach your goal. Be proud of yourself, we are all proud of you!

scarlett873 You splurged and still maintained your weight? Good job! Luckily you only have one birthday a year so you won't be doing that again for a while.

You're doing great. You must have subconsciously controlled your birthday splurge portions to maintain your weight. I'm proud of you--be proud of yourself!

Beanie If it is TOM and you only gained one pound, you are doing great. In fact, I'll bet you actually lost a few pounds. Wait until the fluid is gone and you will see.

I'm proud of you for hanging in there and not quitting even though you saw a gain on the scale this week. Thanks for checking in here, too. I know it isn't that much fun to post to check in when you are showing a gain. {{{HUGS}}}

jenanderson What an excellent attitude you have! That positive attitude is going to help you reach your goal, sweetie. Losing 2.5 pounds two weeks is awesome progress. You are doing a great job and I'm proud of you.

Lisa96 So you lost an average of one pound a week. That is excellent. It's a wonderful feeling to see a 3 pound loss reflected on the scale. Aren't you glad you didn't quit? You are doing a great job. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself. You are determined and motivated and I'm sure proud of you!

disnygoof I love your enthusiasm. Losing one pound in one week is excellent progress!

Congratulations on winning those Cirque tickets. I love Cirque du Soleil, I never seem to win anything, though ;)

How wonderful that you have lost a total of 50 pounds. What a shining example of success you are for me. I'm really proud of you.

mishoe01 You are "tons of stuff" and only gained 1/2 pound? WOW, you must not eaten nearly as much as you thought you did. I'll bet that 1/2 pound is simply fluid being retained because of the off plan foods you ate. It will be gone soon and will take a pound of fat with it, too.

Hang in there, you are newly determined and back on track now.

ohMom Maintaining is good, Molli. So much better than gaining. Sounds like you are newly determined and I'll bet you show a loss next check in. You are so close to goal, though, be prepared to lose this last few pounds very slowly.

Thanks for posting here this week, even though you couldn't report a loss.

AprilN You could also have gained a little muscle, don't you think? You sure did exercise a lot and I think that's probably what happened. You gained a pound, sure, but I'll bet you didn't gain a pound of fat.

Thanks for posting here today. I can tell you aren't feeling very happy. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie. Have you measured yourself, yet? You could have lost inches instead of pounds, you know.

I'm proud of you for being so good and on plan while on vacation, way to go! You did not see a negative result, if you built muscle you saw a positive result and I happen to think that's pretty great.

Thanks to everyone who posted to this weeks check in thread. Reading this helps keep me motivated.

Onward and downward!

Katholyn

Auntmeme WOO HOO!!! 3 pounds gone forever. I'm so happy and proud for you. You have made it more than 13 days without a cheat, too. Way to go.

I hope you are feeling proud of yourself, you are a WISH success!

perfectmatch300 Losing one pound a week is excellent progress. You are making your way steadily to goal.

You lucky thing, getting to go to Vegas. I'll bet you have that new clipart before you leave. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself, I'm sure feeling proud of you.

tinaw How exciting to lose 3.5 pounds. Good for you.

I'm really sorry that you have been feeling unwell. Sometimes taking steroids can make you gain weight, too. So, don't get discouraged if that happens. The weight won't be a true gain and you will lose it easily.

Hang in there, sweetie. I hope you are feeling much better soon.

ohiominnie WOO HOO!! Another 1.5 pounds gone forever. Look at you go. You are doing very well and I hope you are feeling proud of yourself. I'm sure feeling proud of you!

ahutton Just so you keep plugging along you will do fine. Thanks for checking in this week, even though you weren't happy about your loss.

bunnyfoo How wonderful that you ate off plan foods and still lost almost 1/2 pound. You must have been more careful of what you ate than you thought.

Get back on track and you will have that new clippie before you know it.

Thanks to all who posted here this week. Reading about your progress keeps me motivated :)

Onward and Downward!

Katholyn

End of 17th week, lost 3-lbs. from 285 to 282 for a total of 46-lbs.

I'm addicted to Atkin's 4-grams of carb ice cream and Russel Stovers sugar free pecan delights 2-grams of carb.

I couldn't find my candy bars at the store, so I bought a gift box thinking that it would last a couple of weeks...nope...nada...never happened...I eventually ate one at a time yesterday until I ate the whole box and cheated after making 96 days cheat free.

God bless, best wishes, and encouragement, RaySharpton:)

Well, Ray. What do you consider cheating? Eating too many carbs or eating off plan foods? See, I don't think you cheated but that's just me.

You lost 3 whole pounds in one week? That is just awesome. You are melting away, aren't you? I'll bet you will be needing new smaller clothes again, very soon and you have almost earned one of those gorgeous platinum cliparts.

I'm so proud of you. You are doing great!

Katholyn

WI was on Wed (usual day) but it has been a hectic couple of days, so no boarding for me lately. Saying it outloud - I am down a pound - in hopes that I am really on the downward way once again!

Ohmom here for a visit - we both had an OP day and that's an accomplishment - my DSIL and Dniece over for lunch and then we were out for dinner tonight.

Ohmom made these really yummy cookies and 2 real - lucious looking cheese cakes to take to a birthday party tomorrow. Not a chance to just take a "big ol chunk out of one" so guess I am safe!

I know you love spending the day with our Molli and her beautiful girls. Onward and downward. OP day is behind you now.

Better late than never. I didn't get a chance to report in for the prior week, but I had a gain so I was just thrilled this week when I did my WI on Friday and had lost 3.5 pounds. I couldn't be happier. The week that I had gained, we had a wedding and birthday that week to celebrate so it had been a tough week. I had really been back on plan. I am now under my WW goal by 6 pounds and I am going to start concentrating on doing some toning so I will be easing up on the treadmill each day a little so that I have the energy to do the toning exercises.

DH also had his WI and was down 3.5 pounds. Yes, we did re-check the scales with us each losing the same amount.:D

Congratulations to everyone on the board. It doesn't matter if you lost, gained or maintained, just knowing that we are in this for a lifestyle change is what really matters.
