WISH Check-In week of 4-13

I lost 1.2 lbs this week. That makes 5 lbs. on the WISH. Finally. I didn't think I'd ever make it. That also makes over 30 lbs. total loss since September. Man I'm flying high today. :bounce:

WooHoo! Lost 1 lb this week. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

That brings me to a WISH loss of 3.5, total loss of 10.5! :teeth: The weight is coming off slowly, but at least it's coming off!

Every last ounce I lose is really motivating me to lose more. 10.5 lbs is just a drop in the bucket to what I have to lose total, but I feel better already.

UPDATE:10.5 total loss minus 6 lbs pre WISH loss IS NOT a total WISH loss of 3.4! It's 4.5 lbs lost since starting WISH! Looks like it's back to math class for me! I'm so glad my error was that I'd lost more than I posted though & not less! :o :o :o

I weighed in today! I have been a bad person and I have not been completely on with my commitment—(We’re Inspired to Stay Healthy). While I have not been binge eating, I have not been exercising and my eating habits have not been altered as necessary. I thought I would be reporting a major gain and I find that I am pleased that I can report a 0.5-pound loss since I began my attempt six weeks ago. So I guess I have been doing some thins ok.

True, according to some I may not have a huge amount to lose. The site I just visited, http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm, indicates I should be anywhere between 121 to 160 which is 60 to 20 pound weight loss. I have no intention of the 121 figure…never will happen. To many of you this would represent the ending phase of your goal--this is the hard part for me.

I still intend to lose and commit to stay healthy which is what it is all about.

Now that the weather is improving here I am certain I can get closer to the 20-pound loss mark. I will be walking more outdoors—my favorite place to be.

Everyone…stay committed. Being healthier is the best thing you can strive to give yourself! You/we are worth it!

tiggerlover According to my calculator you have lost an average of 2.25 pounds each week since starting WW. That is just so terrific! Looks like you will be upgrading to that 20 pound loss clippie very soon.

I appreciate your enthusiasm here on WISH. You are doing a great job and I'm really proud of you.

anniet Wait a second, I'm rubbing my eyes here, are those sad smilies I see on your post???? Are you really sad because you lost almost half a pound? Honest? Hmmmm.....how about this.....how about some bouncing smilies, instead? Let's see.....

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc I lost .4 pounds this week!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Oh yeah...that's much better. I'll bet everyone agrees with me on this one, too.

Your friends are right. You are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. You are doing great with your weight training! Good job.

Be proud of yourself, anniet, we're all proud of you.

becka Hurray for you! Look how well you are doing. Your motivation and determination are a great example for me to follow.

That new clippie looks great on you. Don't get too attached. I'm willing to bet cash money that you will be trading up to the 15 pound loss clippie very soon.

Good job, Becka. I'm proud of you but not surprised. I knew all along that you could do this!

CrzyforPiglet YEEEEHAAAA!!!! Sorry, I lapsed into Texan there for a minute ;)

What a great loss you had this week. Pleasant surprises are the best part of weigh ins :) 2.5 pounds is a terrific loss. It's such an empowering feeling, isn't it? No matter how much you lose you know you have taken control and that you are succeeding.

I love Toronto. My favorite restaurant is Ella's on Danforth. Great Greek food to be had there. YUM, I would love some of their souvlaki and taramasalata right now...oooh...and a greek salad with lots of those wonderful greek olives. I think that would all be Atkins friendly foods, too. Have a great trip and just make the best food choices you can. Try to have lots of fun.

I'm proud and happy for you. Way to go!

DiznEeyore Okay, you know the rules. We don't dwell on the past, here on WISH, we only concern ourselves with right now. The past is behind us, it's time to forget about those slips and concentrate on what we are going to do right now.

How neat that you only gained .5 pounds. I'll bet you drop that and more this week. You can do this, I believe in you.

kamgen Oh, Kamy what a great loss you had this week. Two pounds is a terrific loss, good for you.

You are doing so well and you have been so successful that I can't help but feel very proud of you. You are so determined and motivated that you motivate me. Thank you!

Rhonda Look at how calmly you said that, "down a couple more this week." You are just cool as a cucumber, aren't you? No big deal just lost a couple more this week ;)

You are doing so well. I know I can always count on you for encouragement and your Atkins expertise has really been helpful to me. Congratulations on your loss and keep up the good work. You're really good at this weight loss stuff.

Jiminy102 Keep this up and you will be 26 pounds lighter in the space of a year. That's a really good loss in my book.

Congratulations on losing another 1/2 pound and thank you for helping me stay focused and motivated.

AWilliams WOO HOO!!! Another two pounds gone forever! You are doing so well. I'm really proud of you.

I have no doubt that you will reach your goal within that time frame--17 days?--cinchie. You are just so good at this losing stuff :)

lmhall2000 I think you posted about this on the check in thread for 4/6. But that's okay, I loved reading about it again :teeth:

Congratulations, losing 6 pounds in barely two weeks is a great accomplishment. Isn't it a great feeling? You are really doing so well and I'm truly proud of you. Keep up the good work.

perdidobay Hurray!!!! 2.5 pounds gone forever. Look at you go, you are doing very well.

I hope you are proud of yourself because we're all proud of you :)
Good job!

TCKK Wow! Look at you. You are really good at this stuff. You have done so well. Losing 1.2 pounds in a week is excellent. It took me forever to get my 5 pound loss clippie, too. Don't get to attached to this one, you will be trading up to the 10 pound loss clippie very, very soon. I am absolutely sure of that!

Just keep it up, you will be absolutely svelte by the time you are finished with this project.

perfectmatch300 Way to go! The slower you lose the better chance you have to keep this weight off. A one pound loss is something to be proud of. You are doing so well, Nancy, I'm really proud of you.

Tiger Lily 03 How great that you lost 1/2 pound even though you weren't strict about your eating plan. You must have been doing lots of stuff right!

Now onward and downward. Just think how much weight you will be able to lose when you are actually more careful about following your eating plan. You can do this. I'm really glad to see you posting on WISH again. Don't you know that we miss you when you don't visit?

Today is day 12 for me, and I have lost 5 pounds. I have been doing the Walk video I have, trying to eat less carbs and not eating after 7. I think the part that has helped the most is not snacking at night. It's also the toughest. I wish I could say I have been "legal" every day, but I have had some treats. If I think of a diet as now a time when I can't have something I always fail. Hope every one has a great week!:D

Hello everyone:
Seems like everyone had a great loss this week. Great!! I won't report my lost until later in the week since I reported later in the week last week.
I just had to share my news. I got remeasured today at Curves and I have lost 13 1/2 inches. In 5 weeks. I am really motivated now.

I guess everyone was right when they said the reason I wasn't getting anywhere with the weight loss was because I was building muscle.

I am really happy with the results so far.

We are really proud of your hard work. I hope that I do well when I get measured on the weekend. No matter! I'm feeling better and I have a lot more energy. And that is reward in itself....well, maybe! :p

I am ready for the 25lb. clippie!!!! WTG all who lost this week. Best wishes with all the holiday celebrations this week!!! Keep going strong....Summer is coming!:jester:

And it's only day twelve- wow in two more days you may be more!

I had problems with my 5 pound clippie showing- I was dying to see that little badge that I've been so disciplined in dieting to earn- yours is doing the same thing.
Go to your userCP and edit profile- after the first there is a space before the next line delete it out without erasing the "h" in http and your 5'er will show up!
Great job- can't wait to see your banner!
Tara

faith For someone who wasn't "legal" everyday you sure are doing great. WOW, 5 pounds gone forever in only 12 days, that's just amazing!

You are really doing well, Faith and I'm very proud of you. You are your way to goal now!

lynr Yahoooo!! 13.5 inches gone in only 5 weeks. I think measuring yourself it just a great idea. When the scale won't move it is so reassuring and encouraging to see that inches are leaving instead.

You are so motivated and determined. I'm really proud of you for sticking with your eating program. Good for you!

Debbie I'll bet you do just great when you get measured. You have been putting a lot of effort into living a more healthy life. You are such a motivating presence here on WISH. I truly appreciate you.

jlawall WOO HOO!!! Those .8 pound gains add up nicely don't they? Where's that new clippie? I would be so excited if I was in your place. Heck, I'm excited for you. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Good job, sweetie! I knew you could do it! You are just doing so well with this healthy living stuff and I'm very proud of you :)

:( I did loose...but I was down 2 lbs on Sat...now only .5 :( Well atleast it is a downward trend there. On the inches front did ok too.

lost .75 inches

.5 around the waist
.25 around bellybutton area

Good luck to everyone...hope the trend downward continues.

You're an inspiration! I can't get losing 18 pounds in 3 weeks out of my head :) And your before/after pictures are amazing! Thanks for keeping us motivated- GREAT job on the loss this week- I went to the Y last night and thought of you- hope you're enjoying it. Way to go!
Tara

That's the spirit, glo! Your excitement for the WATP tapes saw me read one of your morning posts, and go walk the other morning!
hens.gif
I'm going to walk on the off days of Curves. Thanks for the inspiration and the vision of an end!

Well, I weighed in this morning and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the scale! Is this even possible??

I have lost 11 pounds on my first week of Atkins!!!
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I thought I would fall right over there!! The terrific thing is that I don't even crave anything!! I have changed what I do though to accomodate this diet more! I always use the upstairs bathroom now, so I have to climb flight and half of steps...I always walk wherever I am going to like Bank, store, ect...and I haven't cheated once, which I thought would be impossible to achieve!! I am just so proud of myself!!

Thanks to Kath, my main motivation!! If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't even be here on this board!!!:):):)

Can you tell I am happy?? LOL!!
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

11 pounds in one week!! Is that some kind of record? Way to go! So long pounds!!
And hello new clippie!!
Tara

Well now I am pretty excited about a 1.5 loss (translates to HOORAY!!!) Wasn't sure that it would happen as Ohmom, DGD age 10 & 6, and I went to see Lion King (traveling broadway play) in Cincinnati last weekend and it was just FABULOUS! Spent the night and dinner out and maybe just a point or two over for the day (oh yeah). So pleasant surprise to see the number down!

AlreadyexcitedGrammy that is so awesome...congrats!!!

Beanie...where is that new clippie...now get on that girl :) :) :)

Lost 1.6 lbs. this week! I'm happy!

Congratulations everyone!!! Keep up the great work!!!

glo Awww, sweetie, your disappointment is palpable. Don't be discouraged, you are just getting to the end of the race. The pounds are going to be slow coming off, now. You have done so well and you are losing inches, that's the most important thing. You are getting smaller! Isn't that your main goal? To be smaller?

Be honest here, do you really care what the scale says? Hmmmm? Think about it. You are healthier now, your numbers are perfect, you aren't facing diabetes anymore, you have reduced your body fat percentage and you can fit into a size 6. You sound pretty successful to me, sweetie.

By the way, what do you mean you only lost .5 pounds? That's a whole half pound gone forever! 26 pounds in a year. This calls for a celebration!!!

:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Now stand up straight, put a smile on that sweet little face of yours and 86 those sad smilies. I'm proud of you!

Beanie YEE HAAAA!!! Look at you go! That is a marvelous, magical and wonderful first week loss. I'm so happy and proud of you. I knew you could do this all along but I'm amazed at your first week loss.

Good job! You should be proud of yourself. You have taken control of your weight and you are getting healthier by the minute.

That new clippie is very attractive on you, really brings out the color of your eyes ;) It took me forever to earn that 10 pound loss clippie and you earned it in one week. Is JohnInIllinois your personal coach or something? ;)

You motivate me, Bean, you truly do. I had nothing to do with your success, you did this all by yourself. We must give credit where credit is due and the credit goes to you!

AlreadyexcitedGrammy Way to go! You went over your points and you still lost 1.5 pounds. How great is that? I'm so happy and proud of you. Way to go!

I wish I had grandchildren. You are so blessed.

Liz I would be happy to lose 1.6 pounds, too. Good for you! You are just doing so well, you have that gorgeous 25 pound loss clippie and you are still dropping weight.

I hope you are proud of yourself because I sure am proud of you.

I weigh in tomorrow. Wonder what will happen?
