WISH Check-In week of 4-13

Love the new music!!

Weigh-in today was not what I wanted--up a pound--but that's how I seem to do it. I will lose about 10 lbs and then plateau a while before I start down again. So I'm not too worried, but I'm on Spring break from school for 5 days and that's 5 days at home with food all around! That may be hard..... I've been doing my walking every day and have really noticed an increase in my stamina, though:Pinkbounc

The words of encouragement from everyone are so helpful! Y'all are such a sweet bunch of losers!!

Down two more pounds. Making that a grand total of 8 pounds in about 3-4 weeks. I seem to be working a bit slow but I went to the gym and worked out a lot today. But I also didn't eat TOO well today. Ah well. I'll do better tomorrow.

I'm down 4.4 lbs, which is a total of 10.4 lbs!
Yay!

I haven't dropped off the planet, just been out of circulation and lurking... I found one of the 5 I had lost, and have been stuck. I went back to the doctor yesterday and have renewed inspiration. Last night we played DDR on the Playstation - what a workout! And it was fun. So here I go again - I'm back!

I am so frustrated and I have thoughts of throwing my scale out the window. I have not lost any weight in 11 days. I don't know what else I can do - I exercise 6 times a week for 1 hour+ (500 calorie workout minimum) and am eating 1200 calories a day. Plateaus are the worst.

The trainers at the gym suggested I begin a new workout routine which I start on Saturday morning.

Congratulations to all the losers this week.

Ok, I weighed in last night and I am down 1.5 lbs. I guess I'll take that along with the inches I lost when I was measured this week. Only 3 more pounds to the next clippie.

Happy losing everyone. Have a great Holiday.

Lyn

First of all, let me say congrats to all of you losers out there! Great job this week!

As for me, I've maintained this week. I'm not too surprised since I didn't make the best choices last weekend. I'm just glad I didn't gain back the pound I lost last week! Also, I have a feeling my weight loss is going to take quite a while since every pound is a struggle and I pretty much have to have a "perfect" week to lose anything. Anyway, for anyone else out there whose scale did not move (or moved in the wrong direction!), hang in there! It will eventually happen!

After my first week on Atkins I have lost 6 lbs! Now I only have 14 more pounds to lose by June 26th to meet my first goal. That's 2 months- I hope I can do it!!
Onward and downward- and off to get my new clippie! :p

No absolutely not - I refuse to post that I have gained 2 lbs!!
Whoops - where did they come from - Obviously having the kids home and missing my 4 miles a day - I'll just have to walk to school for the fun of it - NOT!!

I am going to cut back again and exercise more and cut out the lo-carb treats!!

Next week I'll be right back there with the losers - or I'll dance naked down the street!:p

You are a Looser so no need to fear!!! ANd if you Dance Naked down the street I want proof!!!! I would ask for pictures but I think the DIS would frown upon that!!!!

Well, I had my 2nd meeting today and wow just a little pressure before you step on the scale. I lost . 8 of a pound. I 'm not really surprised I got off to a rough start the 1st two days, I used 30 pnts. (I'm allowed 23) but then Becka (yea Becka) gave me this wonderful tip. Start your day in the evening (that is start counting your points for the day w/dinner) it may not sound like a big deal but it made a world of difference for me. The rest of the week I either came in at 23 or less! Our instructor today said you can't always measure success on the scale and that really hit the nail on the head for me. Everything I have learned this week makes me feel like a winner (even though I'm supposed to be a loser).

Thanks to everyone who answer (or will answer) my multitude of questions.

Alice

campingcorgi Okay, you gained only one pound. I'll bet it's just fluid and it will disappear soon. Look how healthy you are getting, you are noticing increased stamina. That's wonderful.

Just take spring break one day at a time and make the healthiest food choices you can. I believe in you, I think you can succeed at this.

Hang in there. Enjoy your time off from school and be proud of yourself, because we are all proud of you.

IheartMickey Slipped and slid a little on the food choices today, did you? Well, that happens. We can't worry about the past we can only think about right now. Right now you seem pretty determined and motivated to me.

Losing two pounds is a wonderful loss and I'm proud of you. I knew you could do it though.

8 pounds in 4 weeks is quite an accomplishment. See how successful you are? Now concentrate on making healthy food choices and keep up the good work.

Mish19 WOW, 4.4 pounds is a magnificent loss. I hope you are proud of yourself, because I'm sure proud of you.

Look at you go! Good job, sweetie. Love that gorgeous new clippie of yours. Next stop 15 pound loss clippie and at this rate that will take no time at all.

I'm so happy and proud for you. Isn't it fun to trade up those clippies?

ahutton What is DDR? Sounds easier than the elliptical ;)

Don't worry about gaining just one pound it is probably just fluid and will go away. Just stick with your eating plan and working out and that weight will melt away soon.

I'm so glad you are back with renewed inspiration. Together we can do anything and we can do this. WISH is a great help, isn't it?

Tink33 Well, if throwing that scale out the window makes you feel better, I say throw it! :teeth: Just teasing you.

Plateaus are very frustrating. I've heard that changing your type of workout will get the weight loss started again. Maybe that will work for you.

You are still following your healthy eating plan and working out so you know that you will drop this weight. You are just getting closer to your goal now so you are losing very, very slowly. Keep doing what you are doing and you will be successful.

I'm really glad you are part of our support group, Leslie. Did you know that I still have my tiara? Yes, I do. I wore it to tea at the GF. I was soooo elegant ;)

Hang in there, my friend. Don't give up.

lynr Another 1.5 pounds gone forever. Isn't that great? You are losing inches and pounds. You are doing just great! I'm proud of you.

Keep it up, you are on your way to goal.

nicolep91 You didn't make good eating choices this past week and you didn't gain any weight? Good for you. Your choices must have been much better than you thought, then.

Maintaining your weight is good. Not as much fun as losing but so much more fun than gaining, don't you agree.

Hang in there. Don't look back. Just take it one day at a time. You can do this, I'm sure of it.

karebear1 Woo Hoo!!!!! Look at you go! 6 pounds gone forever and it only took you one week. That is awesome.

I'm so happy and proud for you. Good job!

elisebutt You know you only gained water weight. No way could you gain two pounds of fat if you had eaten twice as many low carb treats as you did.

This nasty fluid will leave you soon. I sure hope it does, I don't know that I want to see you dance naked down the street ;)

Alice Sr. We must have been posting at the same time, I almost missed you.

.8 pounds loss is a decent loss. It's almost a whole pound. You will lose more next week, you just wait and see.

Don't be discouraged. I know you can do this. Hang in there and be proud that there is almost one whole pound of fat gone forever.

Don't give me any credit. I just remembered reading it here on WISH and I can not remember who originally posted it. I just passed it on because I thought it might help you and I am thrilled that it made a difference for you. :)

Last but never least! :p I don't know about everyone else but I try to read this thread a few times a week so I know that I have read everyone's updates. :) Congrats on your loss and your brand new shiny clippie!

Once again Congrats to All!!!!! :) We are all working on making ourselves healthier and that is what counts not what some number on the scale is.

Yippee!!

I am down 2.4 pounds as of this morning's WW weigh-in!! This makes my WISH total loss 24.5 pounds.

(I may have to cheat and have a mid-week weigh in, because I sure do get excited about new clippies!!!)

My WISH friends are a critical part of my success on this journey. I can't thank you enough for making me laugh, making me think about what we're doing, and sometimes almost making me cry!

I've had a very stressful week and I've been awfully crabby, but the WISH board has been a calming and reassuring place for me. Thanks, guys!
