WISH Chatters Committment Week 5

Hey everyone!!!!!!!!!!! It's FRIDAY! Woo hoo!

Well today is rest day for me! No meat today so we are having yummy veggie pizza tonight. DH leaves to go to Georgia on Sunday and has to go to the base for weekend drill tomorrow. UGGH! I'll be happy when I am celebrating 2 Friday's from tonight!

Didn't do good on water today either. I think working out in the mornings really makes that easier. I can get 3-4 cups done before I eaven leave the house. I have only drinken one cup today so far and one this morning. That is definately not good.

Today my scale said 138 (it said that yesterday morning too!), so this is good! All this exercising is definately helping. Hopefully soon I will make Lifetime at Weight Watchers and won't have to pay anymore! Woo hoo!

I got 5 new FIRM DVD's in the mail yesterday, still waiting on 3. This gives me more variety now! Woo hoo!

Tomorrow will be Complete Aerobics and Weight Training, and I will add on a new tape to do. Last night I tried one of the new tapes. I quite after a little bit. It was Super Cardio, and the moves were really different. I think I will keep playing around with that one. I got absolutely no workout from it last night because I just stopped and watched after a while because I couldn't keep up. Maybe if I try during the day when I am not so tired.

evansmom- Way to go on being in the lead for your weight loss. You are doing a terrific job. As for your committments..........You can do it!!
I will be looking forward to Monday for your report!

Kim- Don't ever feel guilty for eating something. You are so right.....this is a lifestyle and not a diet. It just about learning to balance. Once we get that idea into our head, it makes it easier to get back on track after eating something that is higher in calories. You did such a great job and I am so PROUD of you! It's so liberating when we finally get it and can do that and move on! Way to go! Also that is what maintaining is all about. You worked hard to get where you are, so enjoy once in a while! You are doing such a great job with your exercise and other committments. Keep up the great work!

Molli- So glad you enjoyed your afternoon snack! Isn't it great when we learn to listen to our bodies and enjoy the food because we really need it! Cookies- This is my first year since my dd11 was 5 that I am not a leader. And on top of being the leader, I was cookie mom 2 years in a row. The first year I did fine, didn't have any cookies. Last year, I knew DH was leaving for Kuwait in March and I ate quite a few ENTIRE boxes of cookies. I sympathize with you haveing to get all those boxes. That is quite the workout too! But I also picked up a couple hundred cases! That is what I hated the most!! Hope the girls get 100% better soon.

ibouncetoo - Please join us daily. I swear it makes all the difference in the world. It also makes it a one day at a time kind of thing. Just don't beat yourself up though if you can't make it one day. Just do the best you can, and take it one day at a time. YOU CAN DO IT!

Great job everyone..........

TGIF!!

ok gals, I just counted I have 62 cases of cookies in my house! :earseek: I haven't opened a one box. now some of those in there are ours, but i just told the little brownie that I'm seperating them on Monday and she shrugged and walked off. ahhh to be a kid and not hung up on food!

nikki -- you have lost 16 lbs since December!! wooo hooo!!!!! you are slinky now, you are so muscular and fit so absolutely NONE of that guilt. you were sick for heavens sake :teeth: Ease into it, listen to your bod. Remember you don't have to go crazy-obsessive with workouts -- won't that lead to burnout? b/c when I read "at least one hour" I worry. see that's what big sisters would do and you're like my only sispuckerup:

can't stay long -- dinner in oven

made it through the afternoon with only 0 pt snacks -- diet hot cocoa and then later carrot sticks. whew!

I had a tempting moment, getting hungry for dinner and I thought oh well the week is almost over so i can sneak something in. NO NO NO -- it does matter that is exactly why my scale is stuck!!

hanging in there with the social eating (about to go to 2nd meal out today) but I have been good - you guys are keeping me honest! I made a salad to take this evening so that is my major feast and I'll just have a goodie or two!

I did some work with the exercise ball today - 2 different tapes - upper and lower bod - let me tell you this afternoon I noticed a few twinges here and there - so that is good - it must have been the right thing.

Hoping for a 6 mile walk in the morning and then off to breakfast with a friend and then over to M's house - pizza with the girls -
AND lmds I am picking up some of those 98 boxes of cookies and they are driving home with me Sunday afternoon in the car! I hope they all fit in the trunk so I am not getting any ideas - out of sight out of mind - hopefully! Actually, I can pass on them but a whole bunch at once - could pose a problem!

Evansmom - we are so excited for you! a BIG LOSER - WTG !! You can do it we know you can - $ is a nice incentive to for winning that contest ;)

Lmds - such wonderful sounding comfort food you picked - we know that you won't stray too far - you liked the sound of "hottie" - we could tell !

Melc - can I borrow your scale - I think I would like it ;)

ibouncetoo - we're glad that you are back to bouncing with us - now that you have reappeared we are going to be checking on you! and don't forget your promise- 2 miles - that's pretty easy for an ol pro like you. and then the next day it might be 3 - don't forget our friend Leslie Sansone says every mile you add - burns lots more calories!

TammyNC - did you burn any calories making snow angels? Don't fret - that makes wrinkles - just come around when you can and try to stay near that tm as much as possible

Wishing everyone a good weekend - don't blow you guys - we worked too hard all week to let a little ol weekend rob us of our reward at next WI

Hugs to everyone - and a cyber high-5 for GO-GO-GO or better yet - gone-gone-gone !

Sat AM and I just did my 6 mile walk - so I am covered until Monday -tomorrow is my day off!

Keep up the good work!

Good morning WISHers! Who's ready for the weekend?!:sunny:

Hi Bev! WOW! You were up and at 'em early! Congratulations on your 6 miles! You are doing GREAT! Enjoy your day off tomorrow and have a wonderful weekend!

I did Maximum Cardio Burn with Abs this morning and feel really good. I did well with my committments yesterday--eating nutritiously and exercising--I'll keep it up today! Tomorrow is my day off, but I'll be poking my head in here to see how all you AWESOME COMMITTERS:) are doing!

Have a Super Saturday!

Good Morning everyone!!

You know......we are all doing so well. Almost done with 5 weeks, can you believe it! Its been so great, and I am so glad you guys are here to help me reach my goals. I really don't think I would be doing as well as I am without you or the exercise. I also KNOW that I would still be making up excuses without you.

This morning I did Complete Aerobics and Weight Training and added on Super Cardio Sculpt. This was my 3rd time trying this and I am getting better. This was the first time that I actually sweated so I am at least improving. This tape flies by really fast too! I also got in 5 glasses of water so far today, so whoo hoo, almost there!

Molli- Great job on not giving in to temptation before dinner - WTG!

Bev- Sure, you can borrow my scale. It's my friend this week, lol! It better stay my friend till after WI on Monday. If it keeps up, I should have a very nice loss this week. Funny thing, when I think back to when I was consistantly exercising in the fall, after about the same amount of time as this time my scale went from the low 150's to 142 within about 2-3 weeks. It dropped so fast. I have a feeling that is what it is doing now! I guess exercise is the key to breaking those plateaus for me! 6 miles- That is so terrific. Way to go!

Kim- Enjoy your rest day tomorrow. Hopefully you will do better than me. I practiced the Super Cardio Sculpt last night on my day off. I didn't feel anything though. Didn't even break a sweat. I also tried Ab Sculpt for the first time. That was different.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!

I just wanted to pop in this morning and say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who stayed so committed over this past week and reported in and sent encouraging words to others. Yep, I went MIA for a few days due to craziness around our household. I unfortunately haven't gotten in the exercise that I had hoped for, but have tried to eat sensibly and to make sure that I got my water in.

We had a late dinner last night because our DS was baptized. I am feeling it this morning, even my fingers feel puffy.

My committment this week is to get my exercise in 3 days and to eat within my points along with drinking my water. We have a lot going on this week along with trying to get ready to leave for WDW.

I'm hoping to get to stop by the chat for a few minutes tonight, but if I don't make it, please make sure that someone reports that the group is still going even though some of us has been side tracked. I still love the idea of the thread being here and am going to try to be here every day this week to at least check in. My plan is to exercise Tues, Wed & Thurs.

Going to get the day started, have a great one!

Hi all!

I haven't been reporting much. I thought we were recovering from our virus the last time we spoke, but we were really just starting phase two. I haven't exercised for a week and a half. I was just too congested, tired, overall sick to move much. We're all feeling much better now. I'm going to start exercising again today. I'm starting off slowly. I'll walk the track while the children are at school. I wanted to start an exercise class at the YMCA today, but I waited too long to reserve space in the child care center.

I'm committing to walking every day this week and on Wednesday I'll go to exercise class (I've already reserved child care). I'll also reserve space so that I can begin going to class three days a week starting next week. I've done well staying on plan (not much of an appetite when I'm sick), and commit to continuing with healthy eating.

I'm going to try to stop in at chat tonight. I've been inspired by everyone's accomplishments. I too have had a history of falling of the wagon and never getting back on. Seeing all of you getting right back on plan after having a day or two off plan has given me the strength to do it myself.

Good morning WISHers!

Hi Tammy! We really missed you, but we all know how crazy life gets sometimes! You sounded like you did a great job eating sensibly even though you couldn't exercise as much as you had planned! Sometimes you just have to roll with it, and you did so well in keeping yourself balanced--and balance is what a lifestyle change is all about! Congratulations on your DS's baptism--you must be so proud!

Tw1nsmom! I am so glad to hear that you're all feeling so much better! You guys really had a rough couple of weeks, didn't you?! You were right to rest your body while you were ill, and starting back slowly is the way to do it! Good luck with your walking, exercise class, and healthy eating committments--you're doing an awesome job!

Yesterday was my rest day, but I exercised this morning and ate a high protein breakfast. I'll continue with my committments of exercising 6x/week and eating well. Yesterday I tried on my first-ever bikini! My upper body looked bikini-worthy, but my lower half is another story! Loose skin + Gravity=:scared1: It was fun even considering a two-piece, though.;)

Have a great day today, WISHers, and I'll try to stop in Chat tonight. Ds has a basketball game at 7:30, so I'm not sure if I'll be back in time.

Thanks for all the encouragement and motivation you guys!!!

Hi guys,

I hurt my knee on Saturday, so yesterday and today turned into an unplanned rest day. Hopefully tomorrow morning I can start again.

Water seems to be on and off again. I'll have a great day, and then the next day I can't seem to get enough in. I will try to do better this week. I did great eating this week and I think WI will be REALLY good this week.

I will be at chat tonight. See you then!
