Any adults here still have their wisdom teeth and not planning on getting them removed?

I still have my wisdom teeth and I do not have to have them removed because I had 4 baby teeth pulled when I was in seventh grade that had no adult teeth beneath them. So with braces the slowly closed those gaps and made room for my wisdom teeth.

I have mine. The dentist says they're straight, they're clean, they have plenty of room, they're not causing me any pain or other problems...no need to remove them.

I still have two of mine... got the other two removed last year. The two I still have are underneath the jaw bone and very close to a facial nerve. The oral surgeon said he would have to break my jawbone to get them out... They don't bother me very often so I'm leaving them right where they are! ;)

I don't have wisdom teeth.

My dentist told me they never developed and have never shown up on x-rays. :confused3

I didn't get mine until I was an adult (one with each pregnancy), but only had them removed because I noticed my perfectly straight teeth (thanks to braces) were shifting a bit.

I have my wisdom teeth because my ortho pulled 4 adult teeth so there was room for them to grow in. DH still has 2 of his but they are under the gum. They are sideways and wrapped in nerves. Our dentist said he wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. He said as long as they aren't giving DH trouble then to leave them alone. If they start bothering then we need to find an oral surgeon.

I still have all of mine. I've been very lucky and blessed to be born with very straight teeth and a roomy mouth. Although my dentist every once in awhile will say I should think about getting them removed in the future as a lot of people don't floss as well as they should back there and it can cause problems but he says I'm doing good so far :thumbsup2. It just always makes me laugh when I go in for a check up, open my mouth and he says "Look at all of those teeth!!"

I have them, 3 badly impacted, one was pulled a long time ago. I just recently brought it up with my dentist again and he told me that only 2% chance of it becoming into a cysts and if it does then it will be real bad. So, I'm not fully convinced yet - to extract or not, that is the question.

It does not bother me at all. However, both my kids have 'soft teeth' (baby teeth) as per my dentist and I have had extensive work on one and the other will have to get work done within the year, so I might just suck it up and get it done after all.

I still have all 4 of mine - grown in straight and so far no complaints from the dentist that they are not staying clean. I have never had braces or any teeth pulled, just lucked out I guess. Although my teeth are crammed in there tight, and on one side of the bottom I feel like my teeth are starting to shift, so at some point I may see if pulling the wisdom tooth to make room on that side would be helpful - certainly don't want to go through the pain and recovery if it won't help!

I'm 15 and my wisdom teeth are coming in, but (mainly because of my terrible fear dental surgery) I am not planning on getting them removed.
