Rounded all the kids up after Illuminations at Epcot. Had a thumbs up from all Chaperones that all kids were accounted for.

The kids screamed and cheered for a good couple of minutes. This was a Magic Moment! Loaded the busses and headed out of the Walt Disney World.

We stopped an hour later at 11:00 p.m. to change into comfortable clothes for the ride home and to brush our teeth etc.

I had my own seat and I finally slept on the bus. The bus stopped at 2:30 and it was pouring rain. Dashed to the bathroom, not to many got off. Saw on the radar at the welcoming center that we were in the middle of big thunderstorms. Not much I could do about it, I wasn't driving. I grabbed a bunch of Disney brochures and maps, cause mine were all wrinkled from my pants pockets and back packs. I wanted nice clean one's for my keepsake book.

Saw the lightning and thunder said a prayer and said it is not in my hands, and fell asleep till 4:30. Changed bus drivers outside of Atlanta GA. We made a collection for the best bus driver in the world. He was from Liverpool England, but he knew his Disney Grounds and Florida. Said goodbye and we got the grinder. I thought we would for sure drop the transmission. He drove until 10:00 a.m. without stopping. Alpha Male didn't wake up to tell him to stop.

We stopped outside of Nashville at a Shoney's for breakfast. We wanted to stop at a Rest Area to Freshen up, No, had to eat first.
It worked out, we all had the Buffy, brushed our teeth in the 2 bathroom, 1 sink stall. An 1 1/2 outside of Bowling Green Kentucky we stopped at at Rest Stop. My God mother lives in Bowling Green and I knew for sure it would take 10 more hours to get home. It was 12 nooner. Now the bus stopped again at 2 for lunch. No one was hungry, I went last in a gas station and got ice cream bars for a bunch of kids, and the lady was spraying air freshener. After a day at Epcot and then boarding a bus, ya. When I got back on the bus, someone sprayed heavy perfume. I immediately took an Advil to thwart off a headache. It worked. Another chaperone told the kids not to spray perfume, it just adds to the problem.

Changed bus drivers again in Lafyette Indiana and we got one of the representatives that talked at our school before we left. My son blurts out, "You grind the gears too!" Nice kid! He just laughed and said "ya, these are the last of our manual busses and we are in the process of getting all automatics.

Went through Chicago's loop to avoid traffic, but of course their was an accident. Once we crossed into WI, I used my cell to call my husband to bring a truck up, cause I didn't want to walk home with my luggage, I live right next to school. He came and picked me my son and goddaughter up. Nice guy!

I called my sister before we got home and she wondered if we ran into bad weather. Tornado's in TN and Kentucky and Indiana. I told her nope. It was mostly sunshine all the way home. I know a few parents who drove down and back and they had to stop a few times, cause of hail and tornado's. God delivered us back home safely.

My husband and daughter had a great time at Port Orleans Riverside and seeing the parks. He did thank me for the great vacation I planned for him. I did all the reservations, tickets etc.

Saturday nite we sat around the table and laughed and shared our stories over supper. It felt so good to eat a home cooked meal and not Fast food.

Disney'd Out!

That sure was an adventure.. you have a good sense of humour and calmness that is admirable.
