Trying to plan our park bags. My kids both need Epi pens and inhalers so those bags cannot go in lockers.

We frequent Cedar Point and typically my daughter has her own bag and we carry one for my son with meds and a couple park essentials. Their policy is bags are allowed in line if they have a medical tag, bags wait on platform until after ride.

Please help me understand Universal policies.

-It sounds like the medical bags could go in line-but where would they go while riding ? Do we need a tag or paper like at Cedar Fair parks?
-If we had a 3rd bag that wasn't medical would we have to store it differntly than our 2 medical bags?
-Hip packs can ride? All rides or some?
- what about crossbodys? size?
-can small backpacks go on some rides?

We expect to need more items than we typically carry at Cedar Point so I'd prefer to seperate into 3 or 4 smaller bags but I will make 2 bags work if it makes less hassle with the medical bags.

Thanks!

You would probably do well to call Universal directly to see what they advise. The part of my extended family that uses inhalers has always put them in the lockers, but I understand that doesn't work for everyone. I can't give you any kind of specifics, but maybe a few semi-useful thoughts from my Universal visits:

Many Universal rides do allow fanny packs, but not always crossbody bags (any ride with lockers for bags will not allow crossbody bags).

I have seen some bags that easily that can be worn either as hip bags or shoulder slings, though I can't suggest any specific one. Just I have seen people wearing them. That type of bag you'd be able to wear as a fanny pack on rides, then swap to wearing as a shoulder bag whenever you are outside the parks (if that is more comfortable). A secure pocket would also be a good choice for the inhaler. Maybe men's cargo shorts? A vest or jacket?

I have also seen people wearing small clear pouches tucked under their shirt. They are allowed on most rides, but not any rides with metal detectors. I saw a guy try to tuck a backpack under his shirt, and the staff were not having it. But small underclothes pouches are okay on many rides. (like for the inhalers). Ones I have seen while shopping are often waterprooof, so something like that could also be helpful at the pool.

The rides with metal detectors are the ones that don't allow fanny packs or any pocket contents. These are mostly the bigger coasters. (Hagrid's, Hulk, Velocicoaster come to mind). I'm not sure what they will allow while actually riding.

There are special lockers located very close to each ride, or most of them? Like just beside where you disembark, but still insdie the post-ride area. Using those might be another option. I don't know this officially or anything, but I have seen people use them for medical needs.
