Most of us in Wisconsin value things like education and helping those who need it in. However, our current governor is trying to make us the next Mississippi or Alabama. I wouldn't move here until this regime is over and see if Wisconsin can recover from all of the damage done.
You current governor is committed to fiscal responsibility.

Evidently he is signing into law fiscally conservative bills that your state congress has passed.
This would suggest that he is not the only person responsible for the changes in your state (where I used to live) but that many people (including all those who voted for those conservative voting legislators) also want fiscal responsibility and are tired of being strong armed by unions.

Perhaps once those laws have been in place a few years, the damage done by irresponsible politicians will be repaired and your property taxes will go down.
I hope so for your sake.

You know, many states don't have as high property taxes and still have wonderful public education- like Virginia for example.
