Woke up the Band kids at 5:30. I was up at 5:00 and just slipped on some shorts. 70 degrees, if this was WI, it would be 28 degrees. Had to be on the bus by 6:00 to get to the Magic Kingdom for a group Band picture.

Of course one of the chaperones set their alarm to PM and about 12 girls didn't get up, but we made it.

The bus parked in the back lot by Space Mountain. It was really cool. The back lot looks like a scene out of the late 60's early 70's. Everything is so old and well preserved. Many offices back there. We were told no pictures of the back lot.

They had the kids line up tallest to shortest and they proceeded down Mainstreet USA. It was such a beautiful picture, the sun was rising and the kids in their band uniforms, it was an awsome site.

The put them in front of the Castle for their shot. The chaperones were allowed to take pictures along with the photographer. But nothing else. There was a guy there painting the overhang on the porch to the bakery on the corner. I asked him why he was painting and he said, the red fades so fast in the Florida sun, it needs to be painted almost every other month.

When we were done, we all walked back out to our buses. We went back to the hotel and had breakfast from 7-8. Once again our Alpha Males decided we were leaving for Downtown Disney at 10:30, not 10, then to Cocoa Beach.

We have the best band directors at our school. We have over 400 kids in our H.S. and 125 are in the band. We have a very strong music program in both band and choir. When we play for school sports, the whole band plays, they can fill up the whole stage area. Other schools always tell us, they love playing in our town, cause of the band. All the kids have the upmost respect for the band director. He is so easy going, but yet a excellent teacher and discplinary. Anyway.

We got to Downtown Disney at 11:00. We had 2 hours, first they said 1 hour, but the women finally convinced them we needed 2, plus the kids were suppose to eat lunch somewhere.

I bought The Christmas Globe Dreams2003 and an ordnament for my other Godchild with their names and date of their upcoming wedding in November. They wouldn't send it to Epcot on Thursday, where I would be, only to a Resort I was staying at. I told her to send it to Port Orleans where my husband was, but it wouldn't be ready till 4:30 p.m. and they were checking out at 11:00 to go home. Boo. I paid to have it shipped to my house $8.00.

Drove over to Cocoa Beach, bus driver was excellent MC. Spotted allegator's and Mantinee's for us. Got a Boogie Board $5 for son and myself at Ron Jon's. He had a great time. I used it too. Waves were great, 8 feet cause of Hurrican Anna out in Burmuda. Son got me on camera, "I got beached", OH well, I really don't care.

When I was filming my son, I saw a huge round shell, almost like a pot roll in, I bent over to grab it and a wave almost knocked me over, I gave my camera to someone quick and tried for it again and it kept rolling so fast, I missed it.

The sun went under at 4 and me and my son grabbed the board and I said, let's go change and shower off, to get the salt off. My goddaughter followed me and her friends all showered off too.

We changed and ran back to Ron Jon's and returned the board and got my 10 deposit back. And St. Anthony was with me too. I left my purse with my lD, debit card and credit card in his bathroom. He said, "did you miss it, and I am like Oh My God! I gave back the 10 bucs and thanked him profusely. He said, Ya, I knew you would be back!

We went over to Ron Jon's store and bought 3 sweatshirts, 2 hats and 2 tee shirts. $110. The sweatshirts were 30% off. They asked me why I was buying sweatshirts at Ron Jon's and I said, "I'm from WI, it is always freezing in WI. We just get tidbits of summer and it is very rare to have a warm evening. You remember it when you do!

At 5:30 a resturant catered chicken and ribs to the beach for us.
Drank the diet coke and chicken, left the ribs and beans, yuk.

Went back to the Hotel by 7:00. I had nite duty. My roommate did too. She stayed up and played UNO with the rest of the chaperones. I slept from 11:00 lights out to 1:45. They didn't knock on my door to wake me up at 1:30 a.m. I flew out of bed and ran down to where they were playing UNO. They said don't worry about it, everything is quiet.

3 of us stayed up till 3:45 and we went to bed. Alarm rang at 7:30 a.m.

Isnt Ron Jons amazing! We always have to go check it out when we are in Cocoa Beach.

Just one hour to shop in Downtown Disney - NOT - sounds like you had a good time at the beach - thanks for posting!
