Hi,
I think I read on a post that some of the DVC resorts now have wireless Internet access.Could anyone tell me if this is correct and what equipment is needed to log on. Also is any special software required and as I will be visting from the UK will any hardware / software be compatable with USA's networks
Thanks for any help.

I believe it's HIGH SPEED internet, not wireless.

Actually, depending on where you stay there could be a bit of both (High Speed room ports or wireless for common areas). I believe the wireless connections are only available in common areas. I DO know that BC/YC/BCV have wireless access in the lobby of both BC and YC, and around Stormalong Bay.

Here is some info from Guest Services:

High speed, wireless Internet access is currently available to Guests staying at
select Disney Resorts. Guests with Wi-Fi enabled laptop computers or PDA's will
be able to access the Internet from the common areas of these resorts, including
the convention centers, resort lobbies, bars, and in some instances, concierge
suites.

Price: $4.99 for the first 60 minutes; or $9.95 for 24 hours

Smart City is the vendor providing this service and will bill the Guest using a
secure credit card transaction via the on-screen Internet connection

Current locations:
Grand Floridian
Contemporary
Yacht Club
Beach Club
Coronado Springs
