Wireless Internet access update?

Has anyone talked to an Internet Cafe CM lately about the timeline for rolling out wireless Internet service on the Magic?

Other cruisers have reported that it is coming soon, but there hasn't been any discussion lately.

I'll be on the Magic in June, and would definately sign up for it.

I'd be able to bring my laptop to take orders and run my business, something I can't do from the Internet Cafe's computers.

In case you're wondering, no, I'm not a workaholic. I operate a one-person business. If I don't have Internet access for my laptop then my business is closed.

I used the in-cabin Internet service on the Voyager of the Seas, and it was awesome.

Thanks for any info that you can provide. pirate:

I was told in June '03 it would be done during the drydock. Well, that didn't happen. Even though G is out (*which is what I heard they were waiting for), they would still need a lot of access points all over the ship due to the amount of metal.

Probably the best bet would be to wire to the AC electrical system, and issue the appropriate tranceiver for those needing service. Don't know about performance though, especially if a few hundred were to connect at once???

I could be wrong, but I heard that the plan was to have one access point, and you'd need to bring your laptop to that area of the ship to pick up the signal.

That wouldn't be as convenient as in-cabin Internet service, but a lot better than nothing.
