Thinking of purchasing a wireless dog fence. Do they work and what brand do you have? Price?
thanks
thanks
Invisible fence brand. Installed by them. Two collars. One lifetime guarantee on a collar. Just under a thousand dollars five years ago. Dogs never leave the property even when the battery in there collar is dead. Dont care that some people claim its cruel to use. The dogs never get shocked unless they cross the fence. They get warning beep when they are within three feet of the fence. They always turn around before crossing.Thinking of purchasing a wireless dog fence. Do they work and what brand do you have? From what I understand they work pretty good. You just need to make sure that the collars are charged up regularly. For some reason the dogs dont seem to learn the borders as well as they do with the buried wire so they are more likely to leave the area when the battery in there collar is dead or if the transmitter goes haywire. You also need to place the transmitter in a spot where the perimeter does not extend into a neighbors yard or the street. And yet you will want the perimeter to include your house unless you want to remove the collars everytime the dogs come in and back on before they go outside. The signal goes out in a circle, so placing the transmitter in a spot that covers your backyard and the house without extending into your neighbors property may not be possible. If you have multiple dogs you need to set the transmitter correction to the level that handles the dog that needs a higher level of correction. With the buried wire, the correction level is set in the collar. That's why we went with the buried wire. But we didnt plan to move either so portability was not a deciding factor for us.Thanks ...but is the wire buried? i am looking for one that is wireless in the event we move. There are some that you plug in a transmitter and no wire. Usually the area covered is a circle and the radius can be adjusted. Just wondering if they really work.

I have the Invisible Fence Brand as wall. Installed by the company. If you were to move, you take the collars and the inside equipment with you. Leave the buried wire and just have new installed at the new house. The wire is cheap; it is the other stuff that is expensive. Thanks ...but is the wire buried? i am looking for one that is wireless in the event we move.
