Winter weather- close calls

we were prepared to leave home a day early (2 days before cruise) if we needed to. In our case we were okay to travel the day we planned and arrived the day before our cruise.

I know it's happened. I remember last year people did. The weather will only get worse from here until March, so it's likely to happen this year too.

Has anyone had almost missed their cruise because of winter weather the last two weeks?
Our flight home from our cruise was cancelled, but that was due to Boeing Max 9 issues. Since they cancelled the day before, DH (who was at home) was able to book us new flights.

I travel in February as a habit, we're flying in 2 days before the cruise and I'm mentally prepared to fly in earlier if need be.

I use to love to vacation the beginning of February but the bad weather eventually forced me into mid-March.

My flight was canceled the day before the cruise in February, 2021. We were able to reschedule for a new cruise two that departed two days later without penalties because Disney had already altered our itinerary due to Covid-19 stuff.

It was so weird. We had a sudden ice storm that basically shut down the entire region. I couldn't find a flight down to Orlando within 250 miles. Our best bet was to take Amtrak half way there and then catch a flight the next morning and arrive somewhat later than planned, but we were just a bit too late to get the train. Oh, well. Weather is chaos.
