here’s another column with 8.99% with direct debit (there’s a 0.50% discount with autopay). So no changes there. It’s been like that for a long time.

They no longer give a $500 referral credit for new buyers. It stopped months ago.

Do we know if the person referring still gets dining credit? Or is that out the window as well?

This would be new to me! I thought you could take MB as many times as you'd like.

I remember in 2023 Welcome Home was limit one per person for the incentive cycle.

True, just harder to rent only 25 points without dipping into other points if you wanted an easy $500 check.

Amazing! For some reason I remember a couple years ago it being a one time thing but I may have been mistaken in my understanding. Its just so much easier to sell it back through MB than to try and rent it out. This makes me really happy knowing I can sell back the first year and then trade in some points for sorcerer passes

I find ChatGPT to be a really helpful tool to help me decide when/how much to buy and whether it be direct or resale. Upload point charts, room direct pricing charts w/incentives, resale sites, etc. Then just tell it the details, much like someone may do on one of these boards. Have a quick conversation and it's amazing how productive the time spent is at minimizing the planning/buying process. In my experience anyway.

Yes. That is still an option. But because there is no buyer incentive we no longer allOw owners to offer themselves here on the DIS.

For sure!

It understands the general DVC framework (resale restrictions, Riviera resale limitations, membership extras, etc.), but it only applies them correctly if the inputs are clear.

- If you say “150 Riviera points purchased direct”, it will correctly treat those as unrestricted.

- If you say “Riviera resale”, it will apply the post-2019 resale restriction (Riviera-only stays).

- For legacy resorts (AKV, BLT, CCV, etc.), it knows resale vs direct is functionally the same for booking, but different for perks.

It won’t assume restrictions unless you explicitly tell it how the points were acquired. The quality of the answer depends heavily on how the question is framed.

They still have Dream it Forward. But buyers don’t get anyting for it. Only membershers which is why we close the thread.
