Winter Dec 25 - Jan 26 Direct Incentives

I think I got all of the working links (courtesy of @atthebeachclub) but feel free to add if you have any others with any other special incentives.

Biggest news to me - CCV is on sale. Has me seriously thinking about whether to pick some up, possibly as a way to "wash" some of my resale points. And wouldn't you know, the expiration of these offers, Feb. 9th, perfectly coincides with my CCV stay of 1/31 - 2/7. It's like they just really want to tempt me 🤣.

Question for anyone: When they put these "sold out" resorts on sale, is there any real risk of them pulling them before the end of the incentive period? Only really a risk if it's a "fire sale" type of situation?

When they recently had a huge sale on OKW, I believe they had to stop before the promotional period ended.

As an example, if DVD has 40,000 points. When they are sold out, that’s it.

How popular will this promotion be?
How many points does DVD have to sell?

Edit: from what I can see, the CCV sale price is not remotely close to the huge OKW sale I am remembering.

Thanks, yeah, I don't think the CCV sale is anything particularly amazing. Since I already own CCV resale, just thinking through how much I would value flipping some or all of them into direct points. I'd rather have some time to think about it rather than feeling like I need to rush and make a decision. I think that's the mindset I will likely approach it with and then, if they pull it before I make a decision, so be it.

EDIT- In reading the fine print it looks like the CCV offer expires 1/31. I do have a question, do they no longer do the 5 year loans? I saw a monthly cost for 10 years and 15 years but not 5 years.

Where are you seeing that 1/31 offer expiration date? In the CCV link above, I see that the contract expires 1/31/2068, but it also says "Developer Credit starts on December 11, 2025 and all Tours must be completed by February 9, 2026 when the offer expires."

I do not have an answer for you on the loan question.

🎄 New DVC Incentives for the Holidays!
Disney Vacation Club has revealed its Holiday 2025 direct discounts — with big savings on Fort Wilderness Cabins, Disneyland Hotel, and a rare Copper Creek offer. Are these steep deals a sign of slow sales or a smart strategy?

It would be 2026 at this point since we are in December. They can't give you points for last year if your use year has already rolled over.

No…it would be 2025 points for everyone because no one has started their 2026 UY.

If you buy today with a Feb UY, your first set of points are 2025 since that is the current UY.

Right now, all UYs start with 2025 points.

According to my guide, CCV never actually sold out - they just stopped promoting it. I have no idea how many points they have remaining to sell however.
Well, with the recent news that 20% of all DVC points get exchanged and then "rented" by Disney on the cash side, Disney keeping quite a bit more than their required 2% at a lot of resorts wouldn't surprise me at all. It would be really interesting to know the percentage of points owned by Disney by resort as well as the average exchange rates. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney basically controls pretty close to 1/3 of DVC inventory at a lot of resorts between the percentage they own and the percentage they end up renting out on account of exchanges. Then, from time to time, they put some points on sale, knowing 20% of those points are probably coming back to them to rent out.

I wish they would do a fire sale BLT offer! These incentives look the same as the last round
If ROFR activity is any indication, my guess is that we won't see any BLT sales anytime soon. TBH, it sort of surprises me given the recent refurb and how well they seem to have nailed it. Going by ROFR activity, seems more like they're gearing up for another AKV sale in the coming year. That said, I'm not sure ROFR activity is that much of an indication - there has been a little CCV ROFR activity this year, but not very much (at least that we know about).

The points backing those rentals are coming from either (a) owners who are using a Disney-internal exchange for e.g. DCL or (b) breakage.

There is no way on Mickey's Cheese-colored Earth that they are not selling points they could sell. If they wanted to keep some of it as a hotel, they'd build a mixed-use property---like they are apparently doing at Lakeshore.
