I have never won anything......but my sister and her husband won a completely restored 1964 Ford Mustang with an awesome stereo system for a local radio station a few years ago.

I do the local radio stations too. This year I have won, $125, $150, $500, $25GC for Buffalo Wild Wings, movie passes. It really is all about timing. I win mostly from my phone at work. It has a really fast redial.

Know what? I almost NEVER buy lottery tickets. But when we were first married, I had just wrecked my car and had to walk to the bank (which was in our grocery store) to deposit a check. I spent $1 on a scratch ticket and won $500. It covered the deductible on my car and allowed me to travel to my DB's wedding celebration. As I was scratching it off I thought, "I wonder if God cares about dumb little things like who wins scratch off lotto prizes," So I always kind of took that as an answer....which does not mean I advocate buying lottery tickets on the belief that God will make you a winner...just always thought it was kinda neat.

We were one of 2 couples that participated in US Cellular's Amazing (type) Race a couple years ago. We were flown around the country by private jet to various cities to perform simple "challenges". People voted for us online. UNFORTUNATELY we lost the $25K grand prize by less than 200 votes...BUT a week's vacation by private jet on USCellular--I'm a winner! (BTW private jet is the ONLY way to fly--it was awesome!)
Last year DH won a poker tournament on our October cruise. The prize was a cruise! Unfortunately it was the same trip, the same itinerary in November--but hey, we took it!
MIL is the big winner--she won the Powerball!!! Some think that means WE won. No, we still have a mortgage, have full-time jobs to pay our bills...BUT we are SO blessed that our children's education is covered. HUGE!

About 8 years ago I won a contest at a scrapbooking store, it was a 2-drawer cabinet and a mountain of 12x12 cardstock - a pack of each color, total worth $700. I was stunned, and I'm still using the paper and the cabinet!!

within the last 2 months I won tickets to see Gypsy at a big regional theatre company ( trivia contest), tickets to Fidelity Jumper Classic( trivia contest), and this week tickets to got see a community theatre production The Wedding Singer the Musical ( photo contest)

each were for 2 tickets and I probably saved $200 in tickets!

About 10 years ago I took my guys to the Frederick Keys Game (Minor league baseball), and entered my name in the drawing for a HotSprings Hot Tub. Low and behold when they called my name I almost fell over, couldn't believe it, cause I never win anything. It was for a small hot tub which wouldn't of fit our family at one time so we upgraded to a larger size, so we did end up spending additional money as well. But hey we were talking about purchasing a hot tub anyway, and got a much better brand.
