After the P&PP we were dead tired. I decided it would be best to sleep in the next morning. Since it was AK day I wasn't too concerned about being able to do everything we wanted................silly me!
I'm not normally a scheduled person, but when I have alot to do, I tend to get a little obsessive about writing lists and following a schedule.
Sleeping in didn't fit into my schedule, but I thought I could be carefree for a day.
Yeah, not so much. We managed to get to the park around 10 and I was totally mixed up. It was like I didn't know how to enter a park without the opening ceremony and a giant herd of hummanity pushing and shoving as we mall walked our way to the hotest attraction.
It was like an eggbeater mixed up my brains and I didn't know where to go, when to go there, or in which direction to head.
I think we spent the first bit wandering aimlessly. This did have one good outcome...................We ran into DeVine!
I could have sat and watched her for an hour............the kids, not so much. I was mesmerized by how she moved!
We went to EE and got FP's for later then we trekked over to one of our favorites. Primeval Whirl. We all love this ride. Unfortunatley, my back didn't like it so much.
About 2 months before our trip I had hurt my back pretty bad, while doing a musical, and it was coming back.
We headed.................ok, the family walked and I waddled , over to flametree bbq for lunch. We love this place. It's so fun to wander down the little path and find a table by the pond. It's beautiful!
As usual we met up with some little friends.
I have to admit to Dawn, and any other bird-a-phobics that my children always feed the birds here!
yes, these sweet, innocent children won't listen to me and insist on feeding the wild life.
After snarfing down my bbq sandwich, I sat back to enjoy the view and resting my back. Little did I know that there was a wild beast stalking me! As I was sitting there, my hand was hanging to one side...............suddenly I felt a little pinch on my finger tip! I was attacked by a wild animal!!!!
This seemingly innocent cousin of Donald bit my finger! It didn't hurt, just shocked me. Of course, I thought of Dawn and how she would have pee'd her pants if it had happened to her, which made me laugh even harder!
After my close encounter with loosing a finger, we headed to Dinosaur.
And, of course, the picture wasn't working at this ride either!
by the time we got off the ride, I was hobbling along like a 90 yr old. Heck, alot of 90 yr olds could probably walk faster than I was at that point. My back no likey! Yes, I realize going on that ride wasn't one of my brightest ideas.
The kids wanted to head back for primeval whirl, but I decided to sit that one out. It was so hot that day! I found myself a bench with a little ensy wensy spot of shade and waited.
Abot 20 minutes later I see the family coming towards me. They were all grinning and wearing little blue mickey ears............they got a dream!
It's amazing how excited the kids were! I got a little teary eyed over their happiness! you'd think we had one the dream suite!
Ethan shared with FJ...........
up next.......dinner & a show.........not in that order.
