**Winkers goes to England~It's so hard to say goodbye**

The plans sound great Cherie, are you dressing up for the P&PP?
So far I have costumes for 3 of the kids. I personally would love to dress up in a big poofy princess dress, but I'm afraid my family would dis-own me!

Plans sound good Cherie! :) The atmosphere at MK during the P & P Party is so awesome :)
I'm so excited for it! I hope I don't work it up so much before hand that I'm disapointed later.

oh and I've never been on a vacation where I've come home rested either! When I visited New Orleans with friends a few years ago, we only slept in the room one night out of four. Needless to say we slept on the plane :lmao:

Where were you sleeping?:joker:

Your plans look like so much fun! I can't wait to hear how you like the Pirate and Princess Party -- I would like to do that at some point! Take lots of pictures!

I am also curious to see how you like Teppan Edo -- we are eating there this summer for the first time. It looks like a blast!

BTW, you should give Lost another try -- it's just like the DIS boards pre-trip/trip report section with everyone's reports intertwining -- except they are on an island and we are on the internet...and we are way better looking than they are! :rotfl:

Great plan!:thumbsup2
I hope the flights get changed back.
In the meantime have fun planning!
I'm still working up the nerve to call about the flights. I HATE doing things like that.

Dh & I went to Teppan Edo before the remodel and different name and really liked it! I'm thinking the kids will think it's cool to have their food cooked right in front of them.

Hi Winkers! :wave2:

I just finished reading your last trip report! :thumbsup2

Our holidays will be overlapping a bit! We don't arrive until May 1st.

We will be at P&P party on May 2nd too! :cool1:

Our kids don't know anything about the trip either! It's driving me crazy!:crazy2: It will be a miracle if I can make it to departure day! :hourglass

Changes in flight times can be so frustrating... just think.. that will be the only "bump" in trip this time... and it's better to get it over with right at the beginning! :upsidedow

Hi! If the only "bump" in the trip is the flight times I'll be very happy!

Dawn, punkin413, will be at the p&p party too! maybe we could arrange a little meet!

We think the kids would get a blast out of it too -- also, DS is totally into all that Yu-Gi-Oh, Naruto, Pokemon stuff right now so he will love the fact that it is Japanese. He already has plans for doing some shopping at the Japanese pavillion.

My boys love all that stuff too! We spent a l-o-n-g time in the gift shop. It was the one time I was thanfull I was in the wheel chair!

C,

I'll have to chew on your itinerary (figuratively) for a bit before I comment on it.

Masticate away!:)

Ok, I'm sorry. That was waaayyyy corny, even for me! I'll blame the muscle relaxer.:rotfl:

I was afraid of that! I figure when we get a little bit closer to June, I will show Connor all the pictures on wdwinfo of the Japanese shop, so he can start thinking about what he wants -- maybe that way we won't spend hours in there (he is the most INDECISIVE shopper I have ever met) and we won't miss Illuminations. :)

dreamy wave sequence as we go back in time 4 years...........................

Dh & I went on our very first trip without the kids. Where did we go? To NC to visit brother and sis in law. We love spending time with them and really miss living within a days drive of them. Neither of us had been to the east coast so there was lots to see and do. They took us to D.C. and then we drove down to Charleston, a place I've wanted to see for a long time. Let's just say our vacationing styles clash like liver and cheesecake!

Our tour through Charleston ended up really strained brother in law and sis in law argued non stop for 48 hours. He's a fly by the seat of his pants kinda guy when it comes to vacations and I'm, well....NOT. After that trip dh& I decided we wouldn't go somewhere new with them again on vacation. EVER. It really was that stressfull. ..............dream sequence over...........

I'm strolling the isles of Wally world today, checking out the baby clothes. Yes, I realize I don't have a baby, but my sister does! My cell phone rings and it's my sis-in law. I really have to say I love her to pieces and we get along great, it's just she and her dh don't!:)

We haven't talked since Christmas so we were catching up on how kids were doing, etc....

sis in law "So where are you going on vacation this year?"

me "DisneyWorld. We decided to postpone England because of what happened last years trip."

sis in law "That's so funny! We were just talking about going down at the same time!"

me.........passed out flat next to the diapers.

I nearly crapped my pants! The last thing I'd want to do is hurt her feelings, but I don't even want my own family going with us. Yes, I'm that much of a control freak! If if was a place we went yearly, I wouldn't be quite so uptight about our time there. I think.

I don't remember how I answered her but I was dying. The one thing that saved me was when she mentioned that since she's pregnant and gone while pregnant before, they'll probably postpone till fall. Whew!

Am I a total nut or what?

Now that's, some wishfull thinking!:rotfl2: I swear it was like total nirvana for my boys!

Nah, you're not a nut!

Sorry, your trip to Charleston was less than pleasant -- it's such a wonderful place (of course, I am tres biased :)) and should be enjoyed to the fullest -- not spent dealing with less-than-pleasant relatives :crazy2: !

I totally understand your reluctance to go on vacation with extended family -- we did it for years -- once to WDW and twice to Hilton Head with MIL, SIL, her husband, and two kids. I love them all to death, but a week in close proximity always seems to produce endless arguments between MIL and SIL -- last year DH and I said enough, we are vacationing on our own (you would have thought we were seceeding from the union or something). We had a much more enjoyable, relaxing time and no one fought (except for DD's meltdown outside the ToT when she proclaimed that DS was ruining the trip by not riding -- but I digress).

Like you said, they will probably change their mind. We'll hope so anyway. Here's some pixie dust for you, just in case! pixiedust:

I don't blame you for not wanting to travel with them, I definitely have some family members that I would NEVER want to travel anywhere with.

It is too bad that your trip to Charleston was not so fun, it really is a beautiful city.

:rotfl2: Your family? I'm secretly thinking of trying to ditch my DH on MY TRIP in favor of going it alone because I'm that much of a control freak!

I fell in love with what I saw of the city! I LOVE old houses! My dream is to buy an old victorian and restore it one day. I took about 100 pictures just of homes! Unfortuantley, the Million bucks for a fixer uper is way out of my league!

:lmao: :lmao: I just about spit my water all over when I read that!

I had to come up with something witty after I about died laughing with your headline of "woman nearly dies in Walmart" :) . It's true though -- I think DH's family secretly fancies themselves as the Corleones (I swear I hear the Godfather music at family get-togethers) and they were NOT pleased that we did not go to Hilton Head last summer. SIL spent the entire week texting me about what was going on while I smugly sat eating funnel cakes and watching Wishes.

:rotfl2: I have thought that too at times -- like when my wish to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern was nixed because, "No one eats turkey and stuffing in June!"

I still wish I could move back there -- teacher salaries are the pits though! Until I make my millions writing my best-selling book and can afford a house on the Battery, I'll just have to go back to visit :) .

:rotfl2: Ok, you win!! You can be president of the control freaks and I'll settle for V.P.:thumbsup2
