Wine Tastings?

I am going down May 3 - 10 with DH. He really does not want to go, so I am trying to find different things for us to do. I thought I had read about a wine tasting in Italy. Does anyone know about wine tastings that we can go to?

In several countries they have a little "bar" in one of the shops where you can sample several different types of wine or sake. I haven't done this in a few years but I remember it was a few bucks for a shot glass size sample. Italy, Germany and France did this back then. Japan recently put in a sake bar.

You can do this at the bar in Germany that is in the food gift shop. I can't remember the price exactly, but do remember that I thought it was resonable for what you got and want to do this in the future.

DS fancies himself quite a wine-tasting conissier. They had wine tasting counters in Italy and France (don't remember Germany-maybe he just skipped that one). At one of them (Italy, I think) his wine came with 2 chocolates also!
