Is this offered on the 4 day wonder? Also, what other activities like this one are offered on the 4 day? Do all of these cost extra? Is there a ships tour? Can kids attend these type of things?

Ok, how's that for a whole bunch of questions in a row?Decided I better edit this...obviously I wouldn't bring a child to the wine tasting!

We did the wine tasting on our four day Wonder last May, and had a wonderful time. There was an extra charge for it ($12? each), but it was a wonderful time, and we had some very good wine. They also have cheese, crackers, and some grapes and other fruit, which was a good thing, or I probably wouldn't have been able to walk out of there!

We also went to a cooking demonstration, which was free, and I can't remember which day. The chef prepared a delicious shrimp risotto, which was served to all the guests, along with a glass of white wine. Of course, this was at 10 AM, but it was great anyway! The chef and wine steward then stayed and answere all kinds of questions.

There were a couple of kids at the cooking demonstration, and they were very well-behaved. Of course, there weren't any at the wine tasting (which was held in Palo, by the way).

We too have done the wine tasting and felt that it was definitely worth the cost. We are total wine novices...I've heard people who have a lot of knowledge say it was a little too basic for them, but for us it was perfect!! We loved trying out a variety of wines, and the way they open the champagne is great. Hubby used to pretty much be a teetotaler...now, on the ship, he really enjoys a glass of wine with his meals (personally I stick to Konk Koolers).

My DH attended the wine tasting and had a great time. He does have some wine knowledge, but he picked up a few pointers, met some nice people--and received a pin, which he thought was cool. ;) I am not a wine drinker (instant intoxication for me!), so I took a nice nap. He'll probably go to the wine tasting again on our next cruise just to sample different wines. (He learned a very interesting way to open a champagne bottle!) ;)
