Wine suggestions please

Lambrusco is another good one. It comes in both types red or white and they are both served chilled. Lambrusco is similar to a Moscato. Not sure if you live near a World Market, but the people who work there are always very helpful with helping me choose wines and they have a large selection.

I am a sweet wine drinker so I pretty much stick with a Reisling (varies by what is one sale) and if I'm at a bar/restaurant where it is not available, I will go with a Pinot Grigio.

However, my all time favorite is Riunite D'Oro. Love it!! I think you would too. It is best, however, when it is drank directly from the bottle. :thumbsup2

Anybody remember the TV commercial: "Riunite on ice. That's nice."

If you want sweet, go with Moscato. The brand, Barefoot Moscato is quite good, and it is not very expensive.

White Zinfandel is pretty sweet too.

Just don't drink too much in one sitting!

I agree with you on the Barefoot! I love their moscato and white zin. The bookclub I belong to, well, we drink our fair share of Barefoot wines that we've named our group The Barefoot Bookclub! Their bottles aren't very expensive and they've got tons of choices. Our bookclub may not be full of wine connoisseurs but Barefoot wines have become a mainstay!

Look for a Moscato, Gewürztraminer or a Riesling! Moscato is the sweetest, usually considered a dessert wine. :thumbsup2

This is what I drink. I had it for the first time at Olive Garden and the guy there told me that I could buy it anywhere. While it's 25.00 a bottle there, it's less than 10.00 at Walmart.:thumbsup2 I am NOT a wine drinker at all, but I do like the taste of this. ;)

I prefer red wines and one I haven't seen mentioned yet is sangria - a fruity red wine, usually sweet or semi-sweet (although some aren't).
Right now I'm drinking one called Madria Sangria that I got a Walgreens for about $6 and it's really good.

I also agree with the Rosa Regale - a sweet sparkling red wine that's so delicious! It's our traditional New Year's Eve toasting beverage :)

My DH likes really sweet wines so I've gotten some great ideas for him so far!
