I love one that says Bosc (has a longer name, but I don't know that one), we used to get it in Iowa, haven't seen it here. Love the Castello, the Barefoot is okay, but I like the sparklings the best.
Thanks, now I just have to figure out if they sell that anywhere in Florida. It has such a nice smooth pear finish as well, I think that's why we love it the most. The Bosc is by Batasiolo. It's one we kept on hand chilled at the wine shop I worked at.
i like Barefoot - I think I paid $9.99 for 1.5 liters!
I'll have to look into the Castello!!!
Edited to add: I see that this is available at Olive Garden restaurants.
I might try it there. But one wouldn't want to pay what they want to buy a bottle!
There have to be so many good moscato's out there, better than Barefoot.
I can remember a few years ago, after the Trentino Moscato we enjoyed at Palo on our Disney Cruise, I looked into Moscato wines, and there were like Barefoot cheap wine and a couple of others. That was about it.
Good Moscato's are really coming into their own!!!
There were SO many nice looking Moscato's and Moscato Asti when I looked the other day!
If you like the moscato at Olive Garden, they tell you it's made especially for them. In reality, they have it bottled with a special label, but you can get the exact same stuff under the winery's regular label.
It's Castello del Poggio
Are you a Barefoot snob?
olive garden in our town no longer carries the castillo, but they do have a good roscato. it taste a lot like the moscato, but it is more of a pink wine. they will give you a sample free.
