Wine in France

I apologize if this has been covered before, and I'm not sure if this if this is the right forum (is wine a food? To me it is anyway ). Anyway, last trip I bought really, really good wine in France. It was kind of sweet, almost like a white zinfindel. Does anyone know the brand of wine they sell in the France pavillion in Epcot? Not the restaurants, but the little winery stand/store they have. I would love to find it in a local state store (PA...can only buy wine in state stores .) Thanks a bunch!

They have more than one label there, but Barton and Guestier is one of the more common ones.

As stated above they have many different suppliers of wines. I guess you'll just have to make another trip and taste several to be sure you get the right one! LOL

It might even be a good excuse to go down during the food and wine festival!

We are going down in August, and this time I'll write it down. Everytime I go into a good state store, I look in the France section, and look for a salesclerk and say "I had a really good wine in France in Disney World, any idea of what it could possibly be....." and they usually walk away. But, I'll look for the brand you recommended next time. Thanks for the quick replies!

In Italy there is Lemoncello - its an apertif (sweet lemonly flavor) that Giada from the Food Network,and Samanth Brown from Travel chanell talked about..

also there is a red Champagne that is Rose Ragle (??) that gets rave rave reviews (kinda sweet)

when you did a France wine flight, just tell them what you're looking for, and they will try and find what you are looking for!

Was it the Vouvray? It's a lightly sweet yet still crisp white made from the Chenin Blanc grape. I like it because it does have a bit of residual sugar, but it's not cloying. I like it MUCH better than a white Zin.

1) Tough to tell, but for your possible reference . . .
2) If it were
. . . the B&G, it would have been Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé, a light Rosé.
. . . the Rosé Regale, it would have been close to a raspberry taste.
. . . the Vouvray Chenin blanc , it would have had a pronounced after-taste.

NOTE: None of the above would be a bad choice. Mrs Rusty ONLY drinks sweet or semi-sweet wines. She enjoys all of the above, and thoroughly enjoys the Rosé Regale.

We are heading up on Saturday..a week from today. I will put it on my list to check it out for you.

Thanks for all the help! I prefer sweet wines, so the rose regale sounds like it could be it. I just remember it being soooo good! I can't wait, and this time hoping to buy a couple bottles to get sent to the room. Last trip, I discovered it too late, the day before we left, and it was too late to get some sent back to the room, and I didn't feel like lugging it around all day. But several people were buying several bottles of the same one, saying how they bought it in the beginning of the week, and had run out already and needed more!
