Wine and Dine and Pre Race Dining

I'm sure this is probably covered in the Mega-W&D Half tread, but I wanted something more focused to be able to refer to. That being said, with most races being morning runs its easy to eat small and not overdo it before a race. With Wine and Fine being a PM, how do you all schedule your meals?

Big breakfast, late light lunch? Regular breakfast, big lunch, small snack before race?

It's my first PM, so I'm trying to schedule meals for that weekend and wanted experienced input :)
 
Your correct it is covered a few times in the mega thread, but glad to see a smaller thread.

The bottom line is that we are all an experiment of one, thus no one idea works for all. The following is what I do...

As a morning runner, I basically turned the clock back 12-14 hours and attempted to lay out an eating schedule. I eat a relaxed late breakfast. We then eat a late lunch/early dinner (depending on how you look at it). After a few of these, I really look to this meal as a breakfast for a morning race. We have started eating this in the room and it is something like a bagel, juice, etc. We move to the race kind of early and I have an energy bar pre-race, then off.

There are several ideas out there, this works for me.
