Wine and Dine 2015

We're in the air for our first flight right now. As bummed as I am that we are arriving so late (scheduled to land at MCO @11:30pm) I'm glad that the gap between our connecting flight is a nice long one. One less thing to stress about for a big ball of anxiety!

Good practice for staying up late. That's the thing that's going to get me. I've been out cold on the couch at like 10:00 pm or earlier for a while now. Is it possible to sleep while running a half marathon?

Do you have anyone to carry you? ;)

We also have the luxury of coming from the west coast so it won't feel too late to begin with. Good thing I work late nights usually.

So apparently there is a tornado watch for the Dallas/Ft Worth area which is where our connecting flight is supposed to be. Anyone with experience?

I was at work today and got the text message from the resort that my room is ready! This was at like 11:30 am. I'm waiting to leave for the airport now - should be leaving in about an hour and a half. Hoping the flight's on time and we get in as scheduled. At least now I don't even have to stop at the resort check-in desk when we get there. We're all checked in and can just go straight to the room. :)

I have the opposite problem - insane jet lag (flew from Australia). Rather than trying to get over it I am just going with it. But gonna need to be over it before Avengers!

Hey all,
Ghirardelli's counts as carb loading right?!?!
:rotfl2:
I hope so. :o I carb loaded tonight on the holiday turkey sandwich from Earl of Sandwich and a 2 scoop waffle cone. I'll be better tomorrow. ;)

Waiting for my phone to finish recharging a bit before I go on a run. It is quite pleasant out tonight, although it was hot before the sun went down. If the weather stays like this I do not think that I will carry my water bottle. I made the mistake of packing all my race and running stuff in my carryon... but no shorts for when I got here. So I had to walk around DS in my jeans all afternoon/evening!

I think there is a special medal for that

Hmm it's 730 now and no text for me... Guess I'll have to head to check in

So made it to my flight on time, had to book it though the airport and shoot past a few people (said excuse me and I have a tight connection, which 90% of people understood and were cool with) and they literally had just started boarding when I walked up. So now on my way to Orlando :flower:

I was thinking how nice the weather is and barring rain, it would be real nice to run in. One of those Ghiradelli milkshakes sounds so so good right about now!

I have a little favor for those that are going to the expo tomorrow morning. There is a couple of things i plan on getting but there is 1 must have item. That is the large Mickey Ear magnet. I try and get one for each event I am in. This past January all the Ebayers bought all of the large Goofy magnets before Thursday morning when I got there. They were already listing them on Ebay that morning for 30.

There already is an Ebayer listing this years magnet for sale.:mad: I already have emailed and talked with RunDisney about this. Not much help for this event.

I am working Friday and will not be able to get up there until between 11 to noon on Saturday. I expect those magnets to be long gone by then. If someone can pick me up just 1 of the large Mouse Ear magnets that would be great. I am staying at POP for Saturday night but wont be driving back home until late Sunday night after the Osborne Lights are turned off. I will come meet you.

Thanks

Ed

That is great news. Have a good flight.

I got you Ed. I'll PM you if I manage to get one for you!

I'm back among the land of the living! My stomach is still weak but the rest of me feels soooo much better than yesterday. So far I've been tolerating bread/gatorade well; tried adding some chicken to it for dinner and so far it's sitting okay. I'm halfway through packing and waiting for the laundry to finish so I can pack the rest. I had my last day of work for the week today, and my co-workers made me this cute sign:

I can't wait to see ya'll all down there! I'm so excited! :rotfl:

1.3 miles around POFQ and POR was enough to 100% change my mind on that. ;) That humidity doesn't feel too bad when you've been just walking around DS for a while, but I am drenched now from a 16 minute run.
