Wine and Dine 2015

Oh, and I finally registered last night for the "10K" event that I'm hoping to use for POT. It's going to come up quickly - it's on June 13th.

Has anyone tried to get just tickets thru RD? I keep getting that they are working on the WWOS site. I just want to know what the discount price is for a 3 day pass.

Well, today was the Tinker Bell Half, and originally I really wanted to get a decent time to use as my POT for W&D. The weekend didn't go quite to plan, but I had a really great time. I'll have to double check and see if my PR will be a valid time - can someone correct me, but I believe there is a time frame the race has to be in? Either that or find something else to run soon.

But another challenge weekend completed!

It has to be from November 2013 or later.

DD25 and I decided no ADR's. We are gonna wing it, lol. We have so much fun together! We just talked about running around and eating all the snacks and cupcakes we missed out on our last trip. :)

Not yet. I keep trying hoping that they are up, but so far no luck.

With people mentioning the Wave at the Contemporary, I think that sounds like a really good place to try for breakfast. If I try to do that, should I do breakfast the day of the half marathon or the day after? I know it's up to personal preference, but does anyone have a recommendation?

I would say it depends upon your plans for after the race and how you think you will feel in the morning.

OK, sigh of relief. I had convinced myself yesterday that my PR wouldn't be a valid POT because of when it was. The switch of the Tinker Bell weekend, and the addition of Star Wars just really threw off my mental calendar for some reason. But last years Tink is still a valid race and that was my last PR race. So I'm good! Looking at past corral breakdowns it should bump me up a whole corral, maybe even two.

I'm pretty disappointed with my finish time at Tink even though I'm super proud of myself for finishing my first half. I finished in 3:15 something, even though based on my training runs I should have been able to break under 3:00. I just had to weave in and out too much around walkers, and it was really hot at the end and the last 3-4 miles were really tough for me. My GPS had me at 13.6 miles because I had to dodge so many walkers. So now I can't use that as a proof of time for W&D because I didn't get under 3:15. :( Good thing I have that 10k in a month!

Just remember .... any proof of time will prob get you out of the last corral.

At least that was the case last year.

Submit everything and update until the last day if possible!

(in my opinion)

I will try but the form for Tink asked if you were predicted to finish in 3:15 or less so I assumed you needed to submit a 3:15 time or less if you were using a half time. :)

So this is somewhat random, but did anyone else get an extra charge on their credit card account around registration time. I have three transactions showing on my statement for March (yes, I'm behind in my accounting), two transactions of $202.84 for my fiance and my race registrations which are listed as "ACT*WINEDINE15" and then another charge for $145.98 with the description "WDW DINE TICKETS" on the same day; I looked at my purchase of my parent's after party tickets a week later and it has the same description. Did we get charged for after party tickets when registered? I thought after party entrance was automatically included in our race registration?

Here are prices for 3 to 5 days

Nearly related question .... can I purchase these tickets and then use them on different day? (ie purchase through rD and then use them in June for instance?)

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but never hurts to ask :)

Thanks for all the information about ADR's
Made ours this weekend, got an early one at the California Grill on Friday and the Yachtsman on Sunday. Right now have an early-ish one at Brown Derby for Saturday but may change that.
Didn't make any breakfast will wait and see closer to the time.

I have them linked to MDE already, they are listed as "5 day magic your way park hopper-Sports"
It simply shows 5 days remaining in MDE. I asked to have the actual tickets mailed but haven't received them yet to see if there are any restrictions. I think you probably could, but what you don't use will expire in the regular 14 days After first use.

I think the fine print says they are to be used within a two week period surrounding the event.

I will check when I get the actual ticket in the mail, I should have it by next week according to the email. There is nothing in the email about restrictions but the ticket may list something.
