Hello, Everyone! Can anyone give advice for bringing wine on-board?
  1. How much do you normally bring for 2 people (moderate drinkers - probably a glass at dinner and 1-2 on the balcony times two people)?
  2. Can we get into our rooms to drop it off right away, or do we have to carry it with us to the pool for awhile after we board? :-)
  3. Does Disney allow us to bring a corkscrew on-board? (I can't find the answer on-line).
  4. Will Disney provide wine glasses for our room?
  5. Is there an ice bucket in the room/access to ice?
  6. Any other helpful hints for "wine'os"? :-)

That's a math problem. 2-3 glasses per person times 2 people times how ever many days. Since a bottle has roughly 5 glasses, that sounds like a bottle per day. You are allowed 2 bottles per person over 21 on day 1. Then you can replenish at every port stop.

**Caveat** You are not supposed to drink personal beverages in public areas without paying corkage. One option would be to purchase a bottle the first night. Your serving team could recork it and bring it out again the next night.

Depends when you board. Rooms are typically ready at 1:30.

I feel like no but they get through a lot. I've also seen reports that you can ask for one.

  1. Will Disney provide wine glasses for our room?
Yes. Ask your room stewards.

  1. Is there an ice bucket in the room/access to ice?
Yes, ask your room steward. There are also fridges.

Personally, I drink more on vacation, so you might want to allow for that in budget and planning.

1. DCL's current policy is 2 bottles of wine (max size 750ml each) per person 21 and over. You can bring this amount onboard on embarkation day as well as from ports of call. Typically a 750 ml bottle will have about 5 glasses of wine.
2. Rooms aren't available until 1:30. If you board after that time, you can take it to your room. Before that time you must handle it.
3. I don't think there's a problem with that.
4. Just as your room host, or room service.
5. Yes. Your room host will keep it filled.

Thank you so much for your feedback!!!!! I really appreciate it!!!!

You may want to look up any wine tastings being offered on board. For a nominal fee they allow you to sample 4-5 wines under the guide of one of the sommeliers.

I have a question about this topic. I thought I saw somewhere where you can bring a soft sided cooler on board with your wine in it, but now I can't find that info. So anyone who has taken wine on board how did you do it? Just cushion it in your carry on or a small cooler? We do plan on getting to the port between 1 and 130 so we can pretty much go right to our room, drop off our stuff and then go explore. Thanks guys.

I put it in my carryon.

A soft sided cooler would be fine as long as it fits through the X-ray machine at security.

As for the corkscrew, we bring one that we actually bought onboard years ago and have it go through security and have never had a problem. Also remember to bring a wine stopper!

Years ago I bought my husband a "wine case" -- it's soft sided and cushioned inside and hold two wine bottles, two glasses and accessories.
