Windsor to Orlando

When I read the rules, it said you had to maintain your posts but ""bumping"at least once per week even if others are posting and the post is active. If you don't bump, and you have two posts that have not been maintained, they will stop you from being able to post for a period of time.

Plus, my creativity has been low, not enough coffee I guess, so I have not been writting much anywhere, just reading.

Sorry, I will try to be more interesting.....it does seem really boring.

Thanks. Jo:surfweb:

Sorry, I am not really sure what you mean.

I just thought it was strange and couldn't figure out what it meant when you kept typing "bumping". I guess it is a board rule. Thanks for explaining. I will get the hang of it sooner or later.

I don't think that I've ever seen that 'rule' and I know people that only post once every few months or so (or even less!), so maybe that is one of those rules that really aren't followed. I'd say, "Don't worry." Enjoy your time here on the DIS, post when/if you want to. :cool1:

Okay, I did a little digging and the rule about maintaining a thread seems to only apply to the trade/rent board. I will stop bumping now.

Does anyone have names and maybe rates for hotels that offer park and fly with a room stay?

I have a room booked for next March but I am not sure if I have a good deal or not.

Thanks.

I booked Baymont Inn & suites for $89 + tax for 1 night (includes 7 days of parking).

I will check it out. Thanks.

I am hoping to get somewhere there is a pool. I have a reservation at the Crowne Plaza for $149 with 7 nights of parking and I will have to pay for one extra night since we will be gone for a full week.

I would be interested in other hotels as well if someone has a name of one that does the free parking.

Thanks. Jo

We've been to Florida 4x and have always used Sprit, mainly because of the price, but the srvice has been great every time with minimal delays. I'm waiting for the deals for this October hopefully they'll be good again!!

I am trying to help friends fly down for a six night stay starting November 28th. It is just after Thanksgiving so I am hoping for a really good price. I find it nerve racking waiting to see if a sale will happen.

The price on the other airlines is not bad. Detroit to Orlando direct for about $200 US but I am trying to hold out for better on Spirit.

It will be the first time they have ever flown.

I just booked my flights with Spirit Air from Detroit in Aug the other day and got them for $67 each way. I was able to add on two extra days at Disney, one extra day for the park pass, another day of paying for parking at airport, 2 more nights in the hotel for $32.00 more than our original 8 days planned. So we are now going Aug 25 to Sep 03.:thumbsup2

However, I was a little upset yesterday to find out that effective June 20 (or 2, I can't remember), Spirit will be charging $10.00 for the first checked bag and even more for the second. No where on my confirmation does it mention this. I just happened to be digging on the website for their travel policies. When I called they said I can pre-register my bags for $5.00 but if I pay at the airport it is $10.00 but they won't have any more information until June on how this will work.

Long story short, factor the baggage charge in your airfare with Spirit and they may no longer be the cheapest. As well, they now charge $1.00 per beverage and $2 to $4 for snacks on the plane (cashless - so you have to pay be debit or credit card - which will have the extra fee on US/Cdn conversion)

Wow, that is not very friendly. I wonder why they decided to charge for each piece of luggage?

I don't like the idea at all.

:confused3

Does anyone know what data Disney stores when you purchase an annual pass. I have always been extremely careful when I give out personal information and I really don't like the finger scan idea...way too big brother for me.

I would love to know what they store and how long they store it for. Plus what exactly does the finger scanner read? Is it taking a finger print? What about the information on the kids?

Any ideas?

I am hoping to get really good air prices for a friend in November after the US Thanksgiving weekend.

I see that the sales are out until the November 14th time frame.

Does anyone know if they hold off with after the holiday sales or do they just skip over the holiday and keep offering the sales?

Thanks.
